Aries is the Cardinal Fire sign ... the most dynamic combination in the Zodiac. The Aries Ingress, the moment the Sun moves into Aries, marks the beginning of Spring, the Vernal Equinox ... the balance between day and night, when the two are of equal length. From this point until the Summer Solstice the time in daylight increases ... and the hours and minutes of darkness recede more and more with each passing day. The energy of life itself is stirring, stretching ... waking. Underground, germination begins ... and above ground sap in the trees starts to rise ... once again.

Souls born with the Sun in Aries are the protectors and defenders, the conquerors and explorers, the Warrior spirits of the Zodiac. Their bravery and resolve are legendary. So are their impatience and initiative. Without their special brand of courage, life might never have evolved from the oceans ... pushed itself out into the alien and forbidding climates of dry land, or carried on the hazardous adventure that marks the march of evolution -- over all these many eons and still going strong.

Aries goes wherever it goes head down and at full speed. It has wads of energy to burn in its zest to engage life's challenges -- sometimes making progress, sometimes going nowhere fast. To be around them is exciting and exhausting. Never mind what it's like to be one. They stir things up, get things moving, kick up sand ... cause commotion -- and sometimes cause trouble. It's all the same to them in the end. A chance to do something, to get involved ... to be noticed. And truth be told ... they consider the occasional rumble to be so invigorating!!

Obviously this is an energy that "looks better" on a man ... in today's cultural bias, but you might be careful how loudly you say that in the presence of an Aries woman. That kind of sexist thinking or remark could get you and your butt kicked around the block a time or two -- while a Warrior woman with decades (centuries??) of score to settle points out that today's cultural bias also affords her the chance to do exactly this -- without apology or remorse. Be sure to count your teeth and other "vital attachments" when your trip comes to a stop.
