Happy Birthday, Taurus!! You are the birthday child this month. So settle back in your easy chair. Arrange some comfy pillows all around you. Get your remote control where you can reach it easily when you're done with this. Got something to drink? A snack or two close at hand? How 'bout some background music? How about a bit of incense, or a scented candle to freshen the air? You do love your sensory pleasures, after all. And you don't need something as special as a birthday for an excuse to indulge yourself, but it helps.

If "enthusiastic" and "active" are words to describe Aries, then the ones to describe Taurus are "laid back" and "easy going." It seems that each new sign kind of rebels against the excesses of the one before -- striking its own entirely different theme upon arrival. So while Aries pushes, moves and initiates ... in contrast to the quiet, dreamy, visionary personal aura and energy of Pisces ... Taurus energy likes to mellow out, and take life at a measured stride and on its own time schedule.

Rebecca BrentsTaurus is the second sign of the Zodiac. It follows Aries in the Zodiacal line-up. Taurus covers the time from April 20th until May 20th. With the Sun in Taurus, it is a time of year that emphasizes growth and establishing physical support sources. In Astrology, Taurus is associated with earning and spending income, acquiring possessions, and using material resources wisely. In mundane matters, Astrology Sign Taurus is associated with nourishing things that already exist, caring for assets the grow and increase in value, and establishing a firm foothold in physical reality.

Taurus is an Earth sign. Earth Signs in Astrology and Water Signs in Astrology are considered feminine, passive, reactive, receptive, introverted, and enduring. They attract experiences and "take advantage of opportunities" rather than creating circumstances independently. Though capable of acting forcefully, they often prefer to "wait and see what happens" before making any moves.. In addition to Taurus, the other two earth signs are Virgo and Capricorn.

Taurus is also a Fixed Sign. The Fixed Signs in Astrology are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. These personalities tend to be noticeably stubborn, set in their ways, firm in their opinions, and resistant to change. They display stability, perseverance, resourcefulness, and resolve.
