So who's most compatible with Aquarius?

Of course people from any sign can get along with those of other signs, and a blanket statement of compatibility based on Astrology must be accepted in the same spirit as any "general suggestion." But there are signs whose qualities, temperaments, outlook on life and general values simply fit better together naturally and who seem more likely to "click" -- depending, always, on what each person is looking for in a partner. That, obviously, is a very individual thing.

Aquarius is an intellectual, versatile Air Sign. It does well with other signs who operate more on an intellectual level than on an emotional level ... or even a practical level. So Aquarius fits well with Gemini ... whose intellectual flexibility (which is why some people call them "two-faced liars"), inventiveness, and incorrigible curiosity are hallmarks of the sign. Aquarius also does well with sociable, cooperative Libra a sign that always enjoys a "spirited conversation." Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are all Air signs.

Aquarius also does well with the Fire Signs Aries and Sagittarius. Both Aquarius and Aries have rambunctious, independent personalities, and Sagittarius shares Aquarius' interest in new horizons and novel ideas. Aquarius and Leo can get along well, if each is willing to respect the others' flashy personal style and other eccentricities ... but these are both strong characters who can easily get on each other's nerves.

Aquarius also clashes with Taurus and Scorpio ... because Taurus really doesn't like surprises ... which Aquarius is always full of (!!!) ... and because Scorpio is definitely a control-freak ... and Aquarius is too strong-minded to tolerate that for long.

Aquarius doesn't really have much in common with Cancer or Virgo. Cancer's moody, clinging, homebody nature doesn't mesh well with erratic, impersonal Aquarius and his wandering ways. Virgo is precise, picky, and never saw a job in her life she couldn't find ways to do better. Aquarius is into grand theories, novel concepts, progressive visions, and expressing his inventive ingenuity. As I said, not a lot of common ground there.

Aquarius can also have trouble relating to Capricorn and Pisces. Capricorn is driven by motives of following tradition, tending to his professional interests, building his public status, and polishing his reputation. Aquarius couldn't care less about any of that. Pisces is reclusive, quiet, sensitive, mystical and artistic. Aquarius is friendly, boisterous, progressive, liberal, and thinks "sensitivity" is an interesting concept. It just doesn't interest him all that much.

Remember though, every person is different and a Sun Sign only sets the basic "theme" of what an individual is all about. People are complex, multi-faceted works of energy and art ... and only a complete understanding of someone's horoscope unlocks the information Astrology contains about his character.
