In Astrology, Venus represents your social self, the way you work with relationships, the responsive side of your romantic soul, and the way you handle money. Venus represents your power to attract love and conduct relationships; your need for money and pleasure; your involvement with income, possessions and material "things:" what you look for in relationships, what you offer another person as a partner; what you really enjoy and take pleasure in, and your abstract "values."
When Venus is in Gemini, people tend to be "intellectual" in their focus on love and money. With Venus in Gemini, being logical about money can certainly be an asset, but being "logical in love" does detract somewhat from the romance. Still in both these important areas of life, with Venus in Gemini, people emphasize qualities such as logic, reason, focus, curiosity, and inventiveness.In Astrology, Pluto represents your ability to make extensive, sweeping improvements in your life ... often by inciting or reacting to a crisis that brings on fundamental changes. Sagittarius is an energy that promotes optimism and growth, especially in philosophical matters and your ability to profitably apply what you know ... and what life has taught you.

When Pluto is in Sagittarius, the social structures that are up for "regeneration, rebirth, and renewal" involve institutions like law, religion, ethical structures, philosophical foundations, issues of social conscience, matters of social welfare, assimilation of "foreign" perspectives, and the advancement and role of academic knowledge. Pluto in Sagittarius is an energy that reorganizes and improves your philosophy of life.
Oppositions are an aspect of blockage, frustration, and challenge. They represent the tension you must handle when other people's needs and agendas (particularly those in your close partnerships) conflict directly and sharply with your own. As the very description in the word suggests, oppositions represent a power struggle between two antagonistic agendas in your life ... yours -- and someone else's.
Oppositions contain elements of "disowned qualities" which other people are forcing you to confront and reintegrate into your character and life strategies. They can be very uncomfortable and upsetting as "in reality" it may look and feel like somebody else is forcing you to respond in ways that are not comfortable or characteristic for you. But an analysis of the actual dynamics of the situation will show you are trying to accommodate two conflicting (and possibly mutually exclusive) needs ... one that is familiar to you, and one that's not.
Oppositions, therefore, mark a time of growth and diversification in your life ... and if you know enough, are wise enough, and / or patient enough to really observe what is going on, your antagonist is showing you the personal qualities you need to develop and fortify in your own character in order to be more complete, more effective, and possibly better able to defend yourself in similar experiences in the future.This is a very generic explanation of what this aspect means.
