This is a fairly important transit -- the approaching square between Jupiter and Pluto. The last time this pattern described life's conditions was in July 1991 -- as Jupiter in Leo squared Pluto in Scorpio. To briefly recap what this means now as Jupiter in Virgo squares Pluto in Sagittarius ...

When Jupiter is square to Pluto a willful desire for change becomes unbearable, and you are willing to take drastic measures to make things happen according to your needs and wishes. The readiness to tear things completely apart in order to remake or replace what is so dissatisfying to you can bring on a time of major upheaval and chaos. You want to change the rules you live by and replace them with a philosophy of life far more congenial -- and possibly far more radical -- than the one you've used up 'til now.

Essentially, when Jupiter squares Pluto, you are trying to expand (and become more important) in one area of your life, an effort whose interests are at odds with those of another area of your life where Pluto is carrying out the long-term work of "total renovation." Something about one activity aggravates, annoys, and inflames the agenda of the other.
