Forecast for the New Moon in Libra 2002

The general tone of life for everyone right now with the New Moon in Libra is focused on relationships, joint efforts, projects that involve teamwork and cooperation, and striking the right kind of balance with partners in order to enlist their help in doing the things you want to get done! People are interested in hearing other people's viewpoints and opinions, in making sure the needs of all concerned are considered and met, and in seeing life from a number of different perspectives.

This phase of life's creative cycle is concerned with finding a mate to help you cope with -- and enjoy -- the greater growth that lies ahead for both of you. If you are involved in a long-term relationship, this may be the time when you solidify your commitment, renegotiate the terms on which it operates, and redefine what your mutual goals are designed to accomplish -- for both of you. In fact, that's a good way to use this time and its available energy.

You are each more likely to respond to requests and adjustments involving your relationship now than to insist on satisfying your self-interests first and accommodating the other person "later." It's a good time to work through problems, to speak honestly about what you require and expect, and to listen carefully to your partner's agendas and ideas. The whole tone of this time is steeped in talk of "us" and "we" rather than "me" and "mine."

If you don't have a significant relationship in your life now, your attention will be unusually intent on finding one -- whether this means finding a lover, a spouse, or a close partner for some other enterprise you have in mind. Another way this energy expresses is through a greater interest in establishing connection with "the public" in general, or with finding agents or legal representation to act on your behalf.

This is not a time to "go it alone" with comfort. You are looking to form alliances with other people. Rather vigorously, in fact. Reasons of professional or social advancement could also be your motive ... but, again, these will be things you can't accomplish easily by yourself. "Other people" may not only be able to give you a boost with their presence, help, and connections, they may be a necessary part of what you are trying to build.

The fact that everyone is feeling this urge to merge right now also makes it more likely that you'll be able to find the allies you're looking for. That gives you more time and energy to get on with your objectives ... rather than having to devote so much time to your overall search.
