The playful, creative, highly self-promoting (and romantic!!) tone that usually comes with Leo energy is oddly subdued this year. Not much action per se is on the schedule. The ripple effect from Mars-trine-Jupiter that happened late last month continues. (Solid efforts to expand your influence, profits and public presence -- affecting work and professional interests.) But those planets forming oppositions to Neptune (the Lunation itself, Mercury and Venus) ... support dreaming more than doing, so you do have to buckle down and get something solid accomplished. The easier path is to just float a while on your own fantasies -- which doesn't do much except entertain you!!

You have terrific talents to offer, but you need to make it known ... make it happen!! Honestly, there will never be a better time this year to blow your own horn and attract the world's attention. Leo energy is not one bit bashful ... and the progress you make now will let you take good advantage of the next natural boost that comes during Sagittarius -- when a changed focus toward reorganizing and boosting your income and financial situation gives you lots more to concentrate on besides developing the show you want to star in!!

The New Moon in Leo is a double dose of showmanship and pride. It can also be a double dose of ego power and self-confidence, which is great under the right circumstances, and necessary for healthy self-esteem. But it can be a fine line to walk, that territory between justified satisfaction with one's own power and talents -- and insufferable conceit. So yes, do tell the world how wonderful you are ... but realize for a while, the world's lack of amazement (Neptune oppositions promote that, unfortunately) may not be one bit honest. Don't let it undermine your confidence ... and for heaven's sake, don't let the absence of applause get you down! You don't necessarily need to try harder, but you do need to be real!

Use this extraordinarily creative energy to push your dreams, boost your artistry (everything in life has an artistic component, you know,) and show you how to put your best self in the spotlight. When these same dreamy personal planets join up with Saturn in Virgo next month, the scenes and schemes you've concocted now in your imagination will find the assets, organization and allies to become real. No kidding. Next month's lunation really rocks when it comes to real, solid, enduring achievement!!. This month, put together your blue-prints, your game plan to follow -- so you have a proposed and purposeful path to follow.

All accomplishments begin with a dream. This month, fire up your imagination -- give it free rein. Take notes on what it tells you ... and sit back and watch the show while doing the work it takes to make it happen!! Let life amaze you with its singular view of the artist you really are!!

Specifically this month ...

• The work needed to improve your professional prospects and public image has terrific support this month. It's not glamorous or flashy ... but it can bring you solid results, sturdy foundations and resilient profits -- the kind that last and last (yes, those kind!!) But this does mean giving plenty of attention to laying the groundwork ... and doing the grunt-work .. that is just a necessary part of any new segment of progress. The extra $$$ you can bank at the end of the season should take much of the grouch-and-ouch out of the picture. I know, hard work is still hard work ... but hard work that pays off is sure better than the other kind. (I'm guessing we've all known plenty of that in our time!!)

• This month, be careful of the promises you make other people -- and be especially cautious in believing the promises they make you. Neptune oppositions set up situations where you are cordially invited to believe what you want to believe -- but when it comes time to deliver on their word, the people you've been counting on for cooperation and help just flat disappear. Poof ..!! They're gone so fast and so completely, you wonder if any of it was ever real -- or if they were playing you for a fool from the start!

• This same energy is what makes "artistic imagination" so hot, right now though. So capitalize for all you're worth on the benefits it offers ... and beware the hazards. Do work you know you can count on for yourself ... and realize that for a few weeks here other people, their intentions, their commitments, their assurances may not be at all what they seem. Don't set yourself up for a bad, bad fall.

• The fact that other people (and the way they react to you) are so darned insubstantial and unreliable now can do terrible things to your self-esteem. (You know how insecure even highly talented artists are. It's part of the legend ... and this is why!! The public's tastes on which they depend for their feedback, income, popularity and "sense of self" is so heartbreakingly fickle!!) It can cause you to act on assumptions whose reality literally evaporates the closer you get to claiming their promise. It's so much like chasing a mirage (in fact, it's exactly like that!!), it can truly make you crazy ... make you wonder if you're "losing it" completely. (As I said, next month will show you a whole different, more dependable landscape. But first you gotta get from here to there!!)

• This whole effort this month is an important segment in putting together a completely different professional path for yourself, a public life direction that will take you to a much different place than you're currently expecting to wind up. It will be an improvement over your current intentions in ways that will seem freakin' miraculous -- in time. (It's that "in time" part that's the kicker now. It will take maybe another decade to really see this turning point in your journey for the step-up-to-a-new-level it really is. And when you're in the middle of a change this momentous, "The Big Picture" isn't available to you except in your dreams and imagination. Which is why having those right now ... and keeping the faith ... are so essential. For us all.)
