Life's theme this month aims to consolidate gains you've made this past year. You see greater professional opportunities, avenues to advance career interests, ways to enhance or advertise your reputation, and a chance to gather more honors and prestige -- bigger feathers in your cap for the status you've reached and the contributions you've made.

The natural flow of life points you toward long-term growth -- especially financial and investment growth. You want to fortify arrangements that can protect you during crises, establish conditions you can count on to last, grow assets to help you through emergencies and hard times, and build lasting legacies in careful step-by-step projects. You want creations you can count on to be there when you need them.

Your attitudes emphasize maturity, organization, caution, conservative responses, persistence, determination, patience, the careful and economic use of energy and resources, loyalty, industriousness, and self-control. It's a time to set realistic goals, take personal responsibility, and rely on your ability to endure whatever lies ahead.

This is a sober and reflective time, when recognition of what you don't have and a view of weaknesses in the fabric of your world overshadows the count-your-blessings" mentality. It shows what you need to work on next, what you need to supply, and where you could use some extra reinforcement -- which then, of course, lays out the agenda for new goals over the next twelve months.

Specifically this month

• Interest in career status, professional authority, and a more prominent role in your own public life feeds an ongoing trend toward having more personal freedom to do your own thing and live life according to your own lights.

• This is becoming an increasingly insistent issue for you ... and the feeling (or circumstances that allow for this) won't get solved this month either. In fact, you've got about 5 years to go yet before you really are lined up for outward progress here. Meanwhile, you need to complete the vision of what "more freedom" means to you ... and work on the obviously extensive background preparation such a move will require.

• The chance to increase your investment in a partnership venture ... or some project that involves the work, assets, talents, or wealth of other people (specifically your spouse, significant other, or business partners, etc.) beckons. This effort promises nice dividends in about a year ... with smaller but significant payoffs and dividends at several other points along the way.

• Meanwhile finding the resources you need (including the funding, time, materials, etc.) puts you into overdrive and strains your already quaking budget to the max! This will intensify over the next 4 -5 weeks, but then the tension starts to dissipate permanently (and at long last!!!) This will conclude one major segment of the Grand Fixed Cross whose energy we've all been enduring since early November -- as this part of the problem unlocks and gets solved!!

• Efforts on a creative project ... something that really puts you and your special talents onstage ... have to timeshare with professional interests and public life responsibilities this month. This is not so much a problem as an annoyance. Finding ways to fit it all in is the challenge. One doesn't really interfere with the other, but by the same token, there's really no way to time share these interests either.

• This creative project (which is part of what I'm describing when I write elsewhere about a rising desire to "make something of yourself") will move more into the background for a while. You'll redefine and restructure what making something of yourself means to you, lay down some support systems for the new vision, and get lined up to move forward more deliberately again in the spring. Meanwhile, you may not spend any less energy on this task, but the work will be more subjective, more private, and more along the lines of retrenching than making progress.

• Your strong interest in career development can really support your financial situation this month ... (and high time, huh?) Objectively you may see an increase in income, more efficient budget management strategies, and ways to stretch the resources in hand to cover what you need to achieve ... so while you may not have any more actual $$$ (or time, or energy, etc.) left over at the end of the month, you will find ways to do more with what you have, cover more bases, and meet more commitments than you imagined was possible.

• This is truly a month to open your mind to prosperity's power ... because you have a lot of irons in the fire and a lot of places where your resources need to go. (Remember ... you are also one of your own resources -- probably the most important one.) And right now frustrations abound over not enough money to really have any fun -- or a serious lack of some other resources that really cramps your style!!

• Invite "miracles involving money" into your life -- and remember, finding something you want on sale, something you need at a bargain price, receiving something of value from someone as a gift, or finding ways to use outside resources also count when it comes to tallying the income balance for the month!

• A stunning piece of information, a revolutionary idea, or a learning experience of considerable dimensions awaits you this month. It may provide a key to some serious growth and expansion opportunities that have eluded you for a while. So when I say keep an open mind ... and listen ... there are plenty of great reasons why!!
