What Do You See?

Do you want to make a change? I remember reading a long time ago about a young prince who had a huge hump on his back.

His birthday was coming up and his father asked him what he wanted.

The young prince said, "Father, I would like a statue made of me without the hump on my back, and I would like the statue placed right outside my window where I can see it every day."

His father didn't want to disappoint the young prince, but he didn't want him to get his hopes up either. Finally, his love for his son won out. He decided he would do as the young prince asked.

On the day of his birthday, the young prince awoke and looked out his window. There it was. A statue of himself, standing straight and tall. No hump on his back.

Every day the young prince looked out the window. Every day, he saw himself standing straight and proud. As time went on, things began happening in the young prince's body. The picture he saw in his mind, and out in his yard, became his reality.

Now, I know there are those who would say that that can't happen. I know there are those who would say that a person shouldn't read this and get his or her hopes up. I know that there are people out there who will never change, and, of course, if they can't, how can they think someone else can?
