The lure of spiritual glamour and the intrigue of psychic experiences can be quite irresistible to some people, and the desire for short-cuts to the final destination may be extremely seductive. Even the "successes" of these strategies risk opening the psychic faculties too rapidly for proper use ... and can prove extremely damaging overall.
