Real Astrology ...

n hope of receiving more useful insights than those provided by her advisors and pollsters, Hillary Clinton sneaked off to visit a tarot reader of some local repute. Deep in a hazy room, the aged mystic dealt some cards, then related details of some happy and long-ago forgotten memories of Mrs. Clinton's childhood that the First Lady thought were known only to her.

However, the next card that turned up was the Tower. The reader's mood turned somber as she told Mrs. Clinton that there was an ill omen in her immediate future.

The next two cards up were the Five of Cups and the Queen of Pentacles. The reader swallowed hard, then spoke: "There's no easy way to say this, so I'll just be blunt. Mrs. Clinton, prepare yourself to be a widow."

The First Lady looked a bit upset, but said nothing. The final card was turned -- the Ten of Swords. The reader said, "It seems that your husband will die a violent and horrible death this year."

Now visibly shaken, Mrs. Clinton stared at the woman's wrinkled face, then at the single flickering candle on the table. Looking aside for a moment, then down to her wringing hands in her lap, she took a few deep breaths to compose herself and consider her next question.

Finally, the First Lady met the reader's gaze, steadied her voice, and asked, "Will I be acquitted?"
