I stumbled across your site by accident about a year ago and admit to being a skeptic. Over the last year or so I have been stunned by the accuracy of your tarot predictions each week. This Sunday's prediction was for the end to financial hardship. On Monday I received an offer of employment which arrived after over a year of unemployment due to illness. Not only was it a job for which I am well qualified, but also a 40% pay increase over what I was earning before I became unwell, and working in an industry I had never before considered. This not the first time you have been correct -- you've predicted major arguments, frustrations, and unexpected travel. I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't more to tarot than meets the eye!

The story is told of a 10 year old boy who wanted to learn judo despite the fact that he'd lost his left arm several years before in a terrible accident. Reluctantly his parents agreed to let him follow this interest, and for his safety as well as his education, they took him to study with a highly respected, well-experienced elderly sensei ... a Japanese judo master.
When they were introduced, the old man looked carefully at the boy, as if taking the measure of his young student. The boy's father wondered if the teacher was considering how to tactfully refuse the assignment because of the child's handicap, but before he could speak to assure the sensei of his son's interest and dedication, the old man quietly agreed to teach the boy.
The boy learned quickly, practicing his lessons several times a week with the old judo master, but after several months, he realized the old man was teaching him only one move. Faithfully he practiced until finally he had to ask ... "Sensei, isn't it time yet for me to learn more than this one move?"
Perfect this move," the sensei assured him. "It's the only one you'll ever need.
Trusting his teacher, the boy continued his training until finally he was ready for his first tournament. He won his first match with surprising ease. And the second one as well. The third match was more of a challenge, but by watching and waiting as the sensei had taught him, the boy finally provoked his opponent into becoming impatient, charging forward, and setting himself up to be foiled by the one move the boy had mastered so well ... and which he performed now with the grace and skill of an artist.
Having won his third match, the boy had qualified for a place in the finals ... where he found himself with an opponent who was bigger, stronger, more skilled in more moves, and primed with much more experience. Observers agreed among themselves that the boy was overmatched. With his handicap he couldn't hope to prevail. But the valor he'd shown to this point at least promised to give an interesting contest.
The referee was clearly nervous and at one point tried to stop the match, but the sensei insisted ... "Let the boy continue." He spoke with a sure voice ... and watched his student's moves with eyes full of life's wisdom. Somewhat against his better judgment, the referee let the match continue.
As in the match before, the boy again and again held his ground against the more skilled opponent until suddenly his adversary made a critical mistake ... dropped his guard ... and the boy made his move ... defeating the bigger, stronger, more experienced contender with his one move, the move he had learned and practiced until it was second nature -- and a fine art.
On the way home after winning the tournament, the boy finally found the courage to ask, "Sensei, how is it that this one move has allowed me to win every tournament when others have many moves they can use?"
There are two reasons for this," the old man answered. "First, you've very nearly mastered one of judo's most difficult moves. And secondly, the only known defense against it is for your opponent to grab your left arm.
It is not actual suffering but the taste of better things which excites people to revolt.
