I love to make up words. Check this one out.

"Movievangelist" is very simple to understand. Movie + Evangelist: someone who consistently and continually sings the praises of a particular movie in hopes of inspiring others to see it as well.

Mick said the oddest thing to me the other day.

"Hey, I saw a movie you have been begging me to see."

I responded, "Wait, not that new Nicholson movie? Is that out yet?"

"No, it's one I saw at home."

A smile flashed across my face. I have become quite the Movievangelist for one particular film this year.

"Finding Nemo! You finally saw it!!!"

"Yes I did," he said, "and now I know why you like it so much." I sat back, waiting for his insight into my wisdom. "You like it so much because you are Dory."

Wait. Did he just say I am Dory?

The blue, forgetful, wide eyed fish who can't remember anything? Goofy, silly, airheady "a real blue" Dory? Now how could THAT little Dory be ME? How could I be her?

Silly ... goofy ... intuitive ... friendly ... playful ... empathetic ... and the personification of perpetual Beginner's Mind. Put aside the obviousness of Dory's forgetfulness and look instead to her chronic, exuberant, delighted state of wonder.

Ah. That is how I am Dory. Filled with Wonder. Delighted. Goofy, Silly, Emotive, Playful, Empathetic. Open to whatever travels along the path.

Sounds ideal to me. Just like Dory...and me.
