Like you, the Swan naturally takes on an almost human characteristic of staying committed to a vision. They mate for life and carry their little ones on their back. It seems fitting that they would cooperatively fly in the V formation. I doubt they are concerned with getting in a row and making walls between them and their dream or vision.

Which leads us back to where we started.

Remember the first words of this article?

"I am getting my ducks in a row." Mary responded without thinking.

A couple things to note: Mary wasn't consciously aware of what she was speaking. She had not yet had the "a-ha" that the wedge of fear was blocking her vision, she was too busy feeling the block to notice the rays coming from behind it.

Mary needed to experience the magical sight which comes from traveling in a V formation. Each "duck" is able to see more and become even more useful when flying in this naturally flowing way. As long as the Wedge of Fear dominated, there was no way for Mary to learn this.

A catalyst was what Mary received. It took some questions and allowing those questions to "float" or "blissfully fly around" her subconscious for a while without her frenetically building a wall with each thought as it passed. She didn't have to grope for an answer or make an answer fit her view.

All she had to do was allow herself to hear the questions and witness them as they floated and soared through her consciousness. Mary needed to allow something other than that wedge of fear to catalyze her dream.

Here are Mary's questions which may also become yours:

Am I taking my row of ducks and creating walls or am I taking your row of ducks and allowing them to flow into a V formation?

Am I paying attention to my self and my needs so that when you get tired you can step back and take a rest?

What do I really think, believe, feel about the power of your vision to continue to provide momentum for the entirety of "my flight"?

Those "ducks" I am getting into a row: do I allow different "ducks" to take the lead so that I can focus on different "ducks" from time to time? (especially important if you like excitement and change energizes you.)

Do I push myself to the point of exhaustion and put my vision back on the shelf because it "did not work"?

What can I learn from using the V formation? In what way can you apply it to your current business or life situation?

There is no need to rush for an immediate answer. Ask yourself the questions above and let them float around (in a V formation, naturally) through your subconscious mind. When you least expect it, the idea will gracefully land and wait for you to take the position of the "lead duck" when that is the most fitting position and also allowing yourself to settle into another spot so your view is different. It will also give you an important message.

Remember: follow the swan straight into the flow.
