I remember seeing posters emblazoned with the thought, "Take time to smell the roses" in the days when I was in corporate America, struggling to meet that next deadline.

Cynically I thought, "I wonder what THEY have been sniffing lately!"

Now as I am living the life of my dreams, I have learned that when I stop rushing and instead step into deliberate, intentional, passionate action I can accomplish much more as I concurrently take moments within my day to "smell the roses" or take time to do whatever I choose to do as I lead the life of my greatest desire.

In the classic book, The Science of Getting Rich, author Wallace Wattles discusses one important point of truth: there is no hurrying on the creative plane where prosperity occurs. As another classic saying goes, "haste makes waste". When we act in a hurry, we act frenetically and our vision gets blurred.

Wattles continues in knowing that when you do all that you can do in a perfect manner every day without haste, worry or fear, you are in the space of being a creator. When you go into the space of "hurry up, hurry up, hurry up," you enter into that space of competitor where someone wins so that someone else loses. Someone gets, someone else does not.

Entering into the competitive plane halts the flow of prosperity.

Flourishing in every way starts when you make the choice to do as much as you can in each day without once feeling in a rush.

Remember for a moment a particularly productive, flow filled day. It was when you created an amazing proposal for your company which naturally was accepted. It may have been when the first time you appeared in front of an audience and your performanced hummed effortlessly. It may be when you solved a complex technical problem so that your business could run more smoothly.

All of these experiences are examples of expressions of prosperity. They are all expressions that may be created especially in the creative zone. A place of beauty. A place of joy. A place of possibility. A place where everyone receives. A place where abundance is realized by all.

The next time you are feeling rushed or harried or like everything is about to fall apart at your feet take a deep breath, follow Mr. Wattles advice. Stop your thoughts. Refocus your mind on gratitude. Get clear on your vision. Become strong once again in living and behaving in the certain way.

Create that passionately active space of prosperity.
