I stumbled across your site by accident about a year ago and admit to being a skeptic. Over the last year or so I have been stunned by the accuracy of your tarot predictions each week. This Sunday's prediction was for the end to financial hardship. On Monday I received an offer of employment which arrived after over a year of unemployment due to illness. Not only was it a job for which I am well qualified, but also a 40% pay increase over what I was earning before I became unwell, and working in an industry I had never before considered. This not the first time you have been correct -- you've predicted major arguments, frustrations, and unexpected travel. I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't more to tarot than meets the eye!

Got cabin fever? Living in the northeast and snowed in? Living in the southwest and watching the cold rain fall? Got the kids home bored? All alone and feeling sorry for yourself?
What can you do?
It's too bad, as a minister-friend of mine once said, that we can't hear what others are . Since I'm a coach and work weekends, I've talked with different people on this cold, gray rainy Sunday in South Texas. While some were calling about specific on-going work, all have been feeling low today, and they've called from all over the U.S.
After all, it's the third Sunday in January. In most places the weather's bad, has been for a while and will be; it's too far from Christmas and not close enough to Valentine's; resolutions have been busted which is discouraging, and so is the financial situation - holiday over-spending, end-of-the-month blues. And spring seems oh-so-far away, both outside and within.
For one, the sun is shining, but he's lost his wife. For another, it's pouring down rain, she's got all the neighborhood kids in her house and they're getting on her nerves. "I can't even think," she tells me, and I can hear the noise in the background.
For another, it's snowing outside, with nine more inches due, and she's alone in the house. It's so quiet all she can do is think, and I can hear the silence in the background, heavy with her loneliness.
Yet another call, the client tells me the weather's nice, but the temperature inside isn't. He's had a fight with his wife.
In one way or another, everyone is having a bad day. The reasons why are all different, but the feelings are the same.
"Think of a worse day," my friend tells me when I say I'm having a bad day.
If I can get there, it really works.
And, barring tragedies and true crises, whatever you think is the "problem" that's causing your dismay, there's someone out there who wishes they were in that situation right now.
The woman with the six kids in the house would love a whole Sunday to herself at home alone. Would the lonely middle-ager want to change places with her? Well that's kind of the point. Maybe yes, but in some cases no. When I'm feeling lonely, I think back on one of the days when the house was full of people but I was miserable for one reason or another. When I'm miserable because I'm too busy, I remember how miserable I've been when there was "nothing to do."
