Time is not.
~ Henry Van Dyke ~In most parts of the country the time changes in the Spring and Fall. We lose an hour or gain, whichever time of the year it is.
It's always nice to get any extra hour of sleep or have daylight a bit longer to accomplish many tasks we may have.
What would you do if you could change time, by an hour, anytime you wanted?
Would you go back in time, when you felt you had said something you wish you hadn't or move time up a bit, when your heart is aching from being hurt or broken?
Often, we wish we could change time and go back or forward.
I have many times sat and pondered on it too, and remembered times I had, in haste said something that hurt someone, or felt at the time, was not a very good decision.
I have experienced times when someone I cared about was sick and I wished time would go faster, so they would feel better.
I am sure, that all things happen for a reason, and that if I could change time, I would have missed out on many great experiences and learning lessons.
I practice patience, when and wherever I can. When I am sitting in traffic, I feel a peace in me as I say to myself "I am in no hurry," even if I am, I still feel peace run from my heart all over my body and I stay calm and feel peace and happiness. I also feel that energy radiating from me to others.
What a much better world we would have if we all could practice feeling that "I am not in a hurry" feeling.
Time is something we may take for granted, or abuse by pushing ourselves to the limit. Finding balance in our everyday lives is so important.
Leave your watch on the dresser for a day. Go by your intuition and inner feelings on the time and your schedule for a change. Don't let time become more important than peace, living life and your loved ones and friends.
We will live a longer, happier life, when we take control of time and not let it control us. This is something I have been working on for a few years now. I rarely wear a watch when I am at home. I usually wear one when I go out, for others convenience, so I am not too late for their schedule. :)
Time is a funny thing ya know. We can as I said, let it control us, or we can control it, and even then, I wonder if we ever, truly control time. I really don't think we do, but we can manage it.
We have choices everyday. Why worry about time, it can flow just like the rest of our lives. Once we find our inner peace and bring it to every aspect of our world, we will see how things change, and how time can only affect our physical selves.
