... this morning I was able to take a good long look at the past two Page 2 readings. I'm always amazed at how meaningful these readings can be. It's a tribute to the magic of Tarot and your incredibly deep knowledge and insight into the cards.

When I have visited some of these 'type' of sites (yours is 'most unique,' and I do not bunch it together with the others:):) I had never gotten the one-on-one interaction like I do here...most are not 'personal' and do not have the 'human touch' as you and your staff give it.

As long as the music comes from your heart,

~ Mysti ~When I was graduating from Elementary school up to Middle school, I had to decide if I wanted to play in the band or sing in the chorus. I loved to sing, but I decided to learn to play the flute.
With a family of five children, my Mother had the task of finding me a flute. New ones were expensive so she heard from a neighbor that they had one that their daughter had used and we were welcome to use it too.
I remember the day my Mom brought that flute home. I opened up the old case and there was a bit of a musty smell from it. It was old and not as beautiful as it had been. But, nonetheless, I was happy to have it.
I can remember going to my first flute class and how the other girls all had new ones.
I practiced and practiced and the teacher used to tell me, she knew that old flute had a whispy/airy sound to it, and that I was doing fine.
I can remember that each Friday we had what was called "challenges." All the students in the class were seated according to their abilities from first to last. I know that sounds horrid, but that is the way it was. I guess it was meant to help us all work harder.
Each Friday we would play a small section of a song or practice bar, and the teacher would choose who played it best. I know she was very honest and chose according to our abilities, not the price of our instruments.
I was always neck in neck, being first, second or third chair, with another girl that was also my neighbor.
One afternoon, she invited me over to her house. We got along fine, but were about as different as night and day. She had a new flute and when I got the chance, I would play it now and then. We would play duets and have so much fun making music.
The next year her parents bought her a new flute and they sold me her old one. I was thrilled to say the least.
I will never forget, the first time I played that flute in our small flute class. What a difference it made. My teacher was in awe and even the students could hardly believe it.
I will also never forget when the teacher said to me, "I always knew the beautiful music you made was from your heart and not just from that old flute. You may have a newer one, but you learned to play just like all the others, but the most beautiful music was always inside of you, from the very beginning. What makes your music so good is that it comes from your heart."
I became first chair for the rest of the year and from then on as long as I was in band, gee for about six years, which was the rest of my school life.
I'm not sure what happened to that old flute. Who knows, maybe my Mom gave it to somebody else to learn to play on. All I know is if they have the music in their heart, they will do fine, no matter if it's a new instrument... or this old flute.
