Is this a noun, a verb, a feeling or just another word we all would like to know a bit better?

From what I have learned, we are the only ones responsible for our own true happiness.

How can this be true you say? When we are involved in relationships of many kinds and levels.

I often ponder this very question.

When we are involved with other people in relationships, whether it be co-workers, spouses, significant others, families and so on, how can it not be true that we are in part responsible for some of their happiness.

We have been raised up, many of us, to believe that our actions make people happy or unhappy. That they will love us less if they are unhappy and love us more if they are happy.

What about ourselves? Are we truly happy?

We often need to take the time to step back from everything and re-evaluate our relationships and our happiness.

If we are feeling unhappy we need to figure out why. We may be physically ill and may need to seek medical help to eliminate some problems we may have.

We may also need to "eliminate" sources that make us unhappy, whether this be situations, people, environment or other things that affect us.

We need to distinguish what is real for us. Are the people we are involved with, in whatever way it may be, affecting us in a positive way or a negative way?

The only way we can see the complete, big picture is to step back, take a deep breath, go within ourselves and find our own truth. We must be responsible for our actions and reactions. We must go with what feels right for us and make the accurate changes to find our balance. We are not just here to please others, but to also please ourselves.

Is being happy becoming a chore? Is it getting too confusing to balance everyone else's happiness but your own?

Take action ... do it today!! Take the time you need to access and make changes in your life that make you happy. Of course, we take others feelings into consideration and harming others is not the way to go, but ask your Higher Power today, what is the best action for you to take at this time to find your peace and happiness.

When we are seeking that love we have for ourselves, it may take time. By loving ourselves, truly and unconditionally, we will find time to find within what truly makes us happy and as we trust in Spirit we know that all things will come together in the right Divine timing.

When we are happy ... that happiness affects all things around us, helping the world to be a better place for us all.

Have trust today and know that your happiness is within your reach, go for it!!!
