For, in the ordinary "busy-ness" world, it is usually "unconscious," which means simply that we are not aware of it. To touch ecstasy, we must touch deeper (unconscious) areas of the Mind. To do this, we must learn to "listen" in extreme interior quiet.

That is why enlightenment is all about the Mind -- your mind. It is an interior Way. It is the Way of the "psychonaut," the explorer of inner space.

The natural state of bliss is symbolized, in mystical literature, by the allegory of "Eden." This is a Hebrew word, and means, "pleasure." So, the entire history of the world begins with pleasure. God (Mind) created us to be pleasure-making minds.

For besides stillness, there is an even more mind-blasting Way to jolt the ecstatogenic system into operation, and that is Love. This is why, when we truly "fall in Love," the event pushes every button that we have! Our brain-minds light up with sweet energy, for Love is what we were created to do! It is the sweet nectar of Mind-- nirvana ("annihilation" of ego-desire and, finally, of ego-self). This is the nuclear teaching of mysticism, which equates Love with the very highest Reality: "God is Love." As mystics, we worship Love.

For God is the sum-total of all the Love in all the hearts throughout all the galaxies! How mind-exploding is that?

Love triggers joy, joy leads to bliss. Ecstasy and Love are locked together in a mutual circular system in which each supports and expands the other.

One reason that good sex feels so good is that, at its best, it is a form of Love. But it clearly is not always Love; and even when it is, it is not the only form. Indeed, there are hundreds of types of Love, and each comes in thousands of incremental power levels. This is why you "love" a certain color differently than you love your dog, and your dog in a separate way from the type of Love given to your mother; the same applies to the wide spectrum of Love-types shared with brothers, sisters, aunts, strangers, friends, rainbows, roses, etc.

Our goal is ultimately to return to the Garden of Pleasure ("Eden") in the heart. This is the state of ceaseless, seamless Love in which we are "in Love with Love," and with the entire cosmos! This can be discovered only by the continual, consistent practice of universal, unconditional Love.
