Astrology Tarot New Age (Home)

The Enchanted Spirit New Age Writers' Forum welcomes submissions from new and experienced writers on a wide range of topics. Specifically, we will publish well-written, literate articles on many different spiritual, New Age, occult, metaphysical, self-improvement, natural living, human potential and empowerment issues, positive philosophy, and holistic and alternative healing topics from knowledgeable followers of various disciplines or practitioners of their special craft.

Ideally your material should be 800 - 3000 words in length. Articles substantially longer than 1000 words should have three to five natural "breaks" with subheadings that allow us to easily divide it into sections. Article material must be engaging, interesting, informative, cohesive, well-written and accurate! Proper composition, grammar, and spelling are your responsibility!! We cannot edit or rewrite to correct substandard presentation.

Your material must fit somehow into one of our sections ... or be closely related to our site's theme and content enough to persuade us to accommodate it. At present our sections include:

Articles must easily rank with the quality of those presented in The Enchanted Sprite and offer a little something extra. Usually extra length and complexity of material is sufficient.

We are not interested in "channeled" manuscripts, material dealing with Satanism, demons, hauntings, criminal acts, UFO's, sexuality, texts that heavily promote or advocate a particular religious view, or anything else arguably considered too radical for a well-educated, spiritually aware, mainstream audience. We will consider articles dealing with parapsychology topics on a case by case basis ... and welcome your query.

You may query us first regarding suitable topics, but acceptance of your topic does not constitute automatic acceptance of your final manuscript. You may include images in your article if you provide us with the images (or the location where they can be obtained) and you (or we) hold the right to reproduce those images.

Articles may be submitted at any time. Presently we are looking to publish 5 new articles a week, with up to 20 articles at a time open and available on the Forum. Except in special circumstances, retired articles are archived permanently in a library section reserved for Enchanted Spirit Premium Site members. If we find more quality material and are financially able to purchase more content, we will certainly do so.

Presently, we are able to pay between $8 and $30 an article ... providing this material has never been made available on the Internet. We are willing to pay between $5 and $10 for exceptional articles that have been sold previously to no more than one commercial publisher ... and we need to know who that publisher was.

In exchange for our purchasing rights to your first time article, you agree not to sell it elsewhere for 30 days from the time of publication on our forum, and not to make it available for free for sixty days from that date. For reprinted articles, you are free to sell your reprint rights elsewhere ... but we ask that you not make your material available for free for at least thirty days from the date of publication.

We plan to occasionally reprint articles from The Enchanted Spirit New Age Writers' Forum in The Enchanted Sprite as part of our promotional work to solicit paid subscriptions from the visitors to Enchanted Spirit. As (and if) membership there grows, we will be able to expand the financial benefits we offer to our contributors. (We agree it is deplorable that quality writers are not fairly compensated for their craft on the Internet. We live with this fact daily ourselves ... and are choosing our work here as one avenue to help change that appalling situation.)

In exchange for buying either your first time article or reprinted work, you agree that we are able to reprint your work ourselves at no additional cost in The Enchanted Sprite, our free online metaphysical magazine, at our discretion, at any time sixty days after that material is retired from The Enchanted Spirit New Age Writers' Forum.

These articles will not be archived in their entirety in Potpourri on Enchanted Spirit, after their issue of The Enchanted Sprite expires, but rather showcased with the first 150 words or so ... and information about how to subscribe to our premium content section -- and get the remainder of the work as part of the more substantial membership package.

(In other words, your article, if it is chosen for use in this feature, will not be available in its entirely for free for more than thirty days each time it is reprinted in The Enchanted Sprite.)

We are also interested in assembling e-book (and perhaps self-published print book) anthologies on various New Age topics as we collect appropriate material and content. Contributing authors will be compensated pro rata from sales, and at a premium rate for direct referrals resulting in sales.

(If you have e-books, either for free or for sale on your website, please contact us. We have very reasonable and effective ways to help you promote this material. The same holds for quality New Age related newsletters you may publish.)

Details of this program will be available in the future ... but for the moment, in selling us your first-time or reprinted article material, you agree that we may include your work in this program unless we have a written denial to do so on file.

Such denial must be on file with us before you accept payment for your article ... and, yes, this could very well affect whether we decide to buy your article at all ... as it constitutes another way we are looking to generate decent income for Internet writers through our website, traffic, and facilities.

As part of your compensation package from us, we will provide links to your own website, advertising on Enchanted Spirit for your products and services during the 4 weeks your article is available on The Enchanted Spirit New Age Writers' Forum, any promotional material within reason, a byline and short bio, and, if you like, a free membership in the first level of our own premium content where you can see the work we do ... and the quality of work we offer from others.

You will also be listed in the Contributor's Directory on Enchanted Spirit as a featured author on The Enchanted Spirit New Age Writers' Forum, and be given our Enchanted Spirit Premium Writer's Award. If you have a website, we ask that you please provide us with a reciprocal link in return for this.

You will be notified by e-mail that your article has been accepted and given a publication date. Your payment will be mailed (or transmitted by Pay Pal) immediately prior to publication. (Be sure to let us know where to send the check and how to keep in touch with you.)

Your manuscript must be transmitted to us via the Internet. In other words, we will not accept typed articles sent in regular postal mail.

In submitting your material to us, you are welcome to use attachments, but please address us directly in the body of your message, note that you are sending an attachment, and describe its contents. We scan all attachments for viruses, even if we know you ... but we will not touch unsolicited attachments from people we do not know.

By submitting your article, you agree that we reserve the right to edit all article submissions for spelling and grammar, and to make minor revisions if necessary. Upon submission, you confirm that it is your work and that you are the legal copyright holder of the submitted work. We will not be held responsible in any way for any copyright disputes or actions which may result because of copyright infringement issues.

If you know someone else who writes the kind of material that fits with our theme and site interests, please do tell them about us. We believe one can never have too much knowledge and we want to be a forum where quality content is freely shared and premium content abounds for the serious spiritual seeker.
