Guidelines for Writers and Contributors

Are You a Writer with a Message?

We are interested in publishing well-written, literate articles on many different spiritual, New Age, occult, metaphysical, self-improvement, natural living, positive philosophy, and holistic healing topics from knowledgeable followers of various disciplines or practitioners of their special craft.

If you write material or articles for a website, a newsletter or ezine in a field related to our interests and goals, material to promote your passionate avocation, or information to help educate clients in your personal business and would like to have those presented and promoted here with credits and links where applicable, we would like to hear from you. We will be happy to consider your work for our online metaphysical ezine, The Enchanted Sprite.

Our readers are thoughtful, intelligent, widely read, and, like us, they appreciate ideas and literate, engaging writing on a wide range of subjects. We will gladly showcase work of exceptional quality for their enjoyment, with prominent links back to your own website and featuring your contact information.

Ideally, your material should be 400 - 3000 words in length. Articles substantially longer than 700 words should have natural "breaks" that would easily allow it to be divided into multiple sections. Proper composition, grammar, and spelling are your responsibility!! We cannot edit or rewrite to correct substandard presentation.

Your material must fit somehow into one of our sections ... or be closely related to our site's theme and content enough to persuade us to open another section to accommodate it. At present our sections include:

We are not interested in "channeled" manuscripts, material dealing with Satanism, demons, hauntings, criminal acts, UFO's, sexuality, texts that heavily promote or advocate a particular religious view, or anything else arguably considered too radical for a well-educated, spiritually aware, mainstream audience.

For several reasons, we insist upon reprinting your article on our site in its entirety in order for it to be included in The Enchanted Sprite. We do this instead of simply "linking" to an article on your website, although as stated, we provide links from your article to your website.

You may include images in your article if you provide us with the images (or the location where they can be obtained) and you (or we) hold the right to reproduce those images.

Outside contributors retain all rights to their original work and may reclaim it at any time with a simple request.

New issues of The Enchanted Sprite are published to coincide near the change of Zodiacal signs ... on approximately the 25th of every month. For maximum exposure, you should have your article to us, ready for insertion in the next issue, by the 15th of the month. Articles may, however, be submitted ... and published ... at any time during the month as each issue of The Enchanted Sprite is considered a work-in-progress until about a week before it is retired.

Back issues of The Enchanted Sprite are dismantled and the articles distributed into appropriate In the Spotlight or other relevant sections of Enchanted Spirit. Unless otherwise requested, your article will remain archived where it is eventually placed ... your links and contact information still intact.

Once we have published about a dozen of your articles, you will also be listed in the Contributor's Directory as a featured author in The Enchanted Sprite. If you have a website, we ask that you please provide us with a reciprocal link in return for this.

In submitting your material to us, you are welcome to use attachments, but please address us directly in the body of your message, note that you are sending an attachment, and describe its contents. We scan all attachments for viruses, even if we know you ... but we will not touch unsolicited attachments from people we do not know.

If you know someone else who writes the kind of material that fits with our theme and site interests, please do tell them about us. We believe one can never have too much knowledge and we want to be a forum where quality content is freely shared.
