Your Dreams: They Are Coming True
Of That, I Am Su

The words spilled out with firm resoluteness. Bold yet quaint, strong and drenched in history.

"It will, though. Of that, I am sure."

It all began this morning as I watched myself walk on stage and tastefully kiss Jay Leno on the cheek, warmly shake his hand and sit down beside him as the band played some music and the audience applauded merrily to see me there with Jay, who smiled his trademark grin.

I was enveloped by the scent of L'Air Du Temps on my skin. I could feel the buzzing feeling pulsate through my body. The chair was surprisingly firm below me though I couldn't quite sit back in it as I was so excited I felt like I would take off and explode into the sky at any moment.

The band was surprisingly loud.

Are you incredulous, wondering why I didn't let you know about my Leno appearance?

I have long had this view of me and red curtains and haven't known where they are or the origin of the vision. This morning when I appeared on Leno, there they were again - live in Technicolor.

The reason you are only hearing now is simple: it hasn't occurred for your viewing yet.

It will, though. Of that, I am sure.

In those words, I hear a protective and visionary, wise old Auntie stepping between any negative thinking and me. I see her peering down her nose as she proclaims, "Listen to my beloved Julie. She knows what she knows. Of that, I am sure."

Are you listening?

Consider me that wise old Auntie for a moment - your wise old Auntie.

I know you have a vision within you right now: it might not have red curtains or smell of L'Air du Temp and it may not include Jay Leno.

It contains, first and foremost, You.

You and your biggest, most amazing aspirations are standing in the center of your vision. Each moment - even this moment right now - is a part of your dream. In order to reach into our goals and dreams, hopes and aspirations, we need to stay wholly grounded in the here and now and put one foot in front of the other to get to where we want to go.

We are going to go on a journey through time and space out and into our lives in the future.

Remember: even this moment - is integral to your dream. It is not an "out there, someday thing" it is a here and now thing, too.

Your actions today - now - impact your dreams tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next.

Now, let's begin our journey:

January 2005 - Six Months into the Future

What do you see in your life in six months? What have you been creating? What have you completed? What is on your desk? What sounds do you hear? What does your space smell like?

June 2005 - One Year into the Future - What has changed about you? What fills your days now, as a writer? Who is in your circle of friends now who wasn't there before?

June 2007 - Three Years into the Future

Has your publicist just called you with a list of appearances? Do you have a file cabinet filled with notebooks, journals and remembrances of your ongoing success? Do you have new equipment? Do you own a special pen for your signing autographs? What awards have you won?

June 2009 - Five Years Into the Future-

Simply peek into the door and witness yourself.. What is different and miraculous about you now? "There are people who put their dreams in a little box and say, "Yes, I've got dreams, of course I've got dreams." Then they put the box away and bring it out once in awhile to look in it, and yep, they're still there. These are great dreams, but they never even get out of the box. It takes an uncommon amount of guts to put your dreams on the line." -- Erma Louise Bombeck

Your dream is grand - you are grand - congratulations on making an intentional step into your dreams.
