I stumbled across your site by accident about a year ago and admit to being a skeptic. Over the last year or so I have been stunned by the accuracy of your tarot predictions each week. This Sunday's prediction was for the end to financial hardship. On Monday I received an offer of employment which arrived after over a year of unemployment due to illness. Not only was it a job for which I am well qualified, but also a 40% pay increase over what I was earning before I became unwell, and working in an industry I had never before considered. This not the first time you have been correct -- you've predicted major arguments, frustrations, and unexpected travel. I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't more to tarot than meets the eye!

I sat on the edge of my bed, breathing deeply as I reconnected to the peaceful, content, quiet soul place of my core.
Buttercup, my Queensland Heeler, lifted her head from her resting position. I stroked her fur as a way of saying "Thank you."
She looked into my eyes with a mixture of wonder and "what's next?"
Slowly she moved herself onto her back, beckoning me to rub her exposed belly. She looked very engaging and there were also traces of vulnerability in the longing in her deep brown eyes.
Buttercup was rescued from our local pound. She was two days from death when we brought her home. She had been taken to the pound by her former owners. We were attracted to her because she looked very sad as she sat waiting.
I had only intended to adopt Hank. Just one dog, I thought, one who would be my dog.
Katherine, my twelve-year-old daughter, saw Buttercup and immediately connected with this quiet and larger dog than I had hoped to have in our family.
I have a sense she hadn't been able to trust in her original family. This made her wordless request to rub her belly mean a lot more to me than it might from another dog.
She was saying, "I am willing to be vulnerable because I trust you. I know you will not harm me. I want to learn to know your love and this is one way to start."
I rubbed Buttercup's belly. She closed her eyes and rested her head on the bed. She looked blissful.
I smiled in content gladness. I was able to share this moment in the middle of my day, a brief snippet in time when something as simple as honoring a dog's request made the rest of the day just that much more delightful.
