Call a "Do-Over" Now

I made an important choice this morning: as of this moment, I am not behind.

I have declared a fresh slate.

You see, until today I felt terribly, irrevocably out of sorts. When I wrote my morning pages it was like a wrench in my gut, lamenting the very life blood out of me.

I scribed these words into my notebook:

I remain behind. Do I make that problematic or sweetly aromatic? The latter in intellect though where the tangible place of depth truth and all thats right good clear.

In vowing to remember, we vow to initiate heart stirrings, heart awakenings.

Take it OUT of the head. Not head alone. Its like saying ONLY brains or ONLY brawn matter. We are intrigued. I create more. I am blessed indeed.

Love is higher than all. My eye is twitching, I wonder why that is? With address and movement where?

My eye says *twitch* which normally says I can't take anything more in there's too much for me to integrate ~ ahhhhhhhhhhh

This fear doesn't feel very festive. My eye twitching says tired says trouble says too much too little like my pants are too short. People like traveling with me they find it amusing and I find it ... beyond academic.

My eye twitching can be seen as an annoyance and it can be seen as a call to greater things. It can be a "get out of the line" and take a sip of hot apple cider it can mean go lie down under that big leafy tree on that plaid blanket and breathe deeply. It doesn't say "Give up and leave the party" it simply calls me to a different approach.

My pencil moved to another subject and I eventually moved my day to other things. One aspect of the morning pages continued to haunt me - it asked for solution.

I knew one very real solution out from under the perpetual "behindness".

Declare a truce with my "behind-ness" and, to borrow from childhood play, "Call a 'Do-over'"

There are three important factors to consider concerning a child's expression of the classic "Do-Over".

1. Children yell "Do-Over" when we wanted to attempt the same goal after our execution was lacking in application. The other children understood and forgave our shortcomings and usually allowed such a request.

2. Children have compassion because "Do-Overs" were not called constantly and they were honored when we goofed and noticed our goof.

3. Childrenn call "Do-Over" to say, "I know that was a klutzy move and since I am not a klutz by nature, I want to try again."

It seems to morph once we reach adulthood into transforming a one time error into a solid belief like "I am a klutz! I made one false move and the world is affirming "I am a klutz!" so there you have it, "I am a klutz!"

What is up with that?

You can change it all right now by choosing to call "Do-Over" every once in a while. Allow yourself the incredible freedom to call "Do-Over!"

Here is my latest example.

As of this moment, I am no longer behind!

Have you called any "Do-Overs" lately? I am betting you are overdue for one..

Consider this your passport into at least one "Do-Over" weekly.

You will need fewer and fewer "Do-Overs" as time goes along.

The key is to consistently call them when you need them.

People will respect you for asking for them and will mirror you by changing that whole "I am a klutz" mantra into, "Hey, that was a weak moment: let's call a 'Do Over!' instead!"
