Safe Driving Tips

Mindful Driving
Is drive-time a hassle for you? Are you usually in a hurry, hustled along by the fear (or certain knowledge) that you're going to be late to wherever you're going ... and once again, a very public and essential-feeling part of your life is out of control. Surprising, isn't it how something so small, so simple, can leave you tied up in knots and wrung-out emotionally before you even start your day, get to work, or find a parking place to keep the appointment that is the great big deal in your world for whatever reason.

How to Drive When it Starts to Snow
Driving in the winter season is relatively more difficult than normal, and requires skill and practice. In the absence of these important factors, accidents can occur. It might be best to stay at home in bad weather but it cannot always be done as some tasks cannot be postponed.
For people who are not accustomed to driving in snow, the task can be challenging. In order to avoid any kind of unpleasant experiences during the winter season, you should have your car thoroughly checked before the season so that you car is well maintained. You should keep yourself up to date with the weather forecasts so that you know what to expect on the road.

Anger And Your Driving
While there is no one standard definition for aggressive driving, many psychologists see anger as the root cause of the problem. Regardless of the provocation or the circumstances related to problems on the road, it is ultimately our emotional state, our stress levels and our thinking patterns that either cause us to drive aggressively or lead us to be the victims of others.

Don't Drive Yourself Crazy
My husband came home on this Friday evening after several hours of running errands and announced, "The crazies are out again today. I was delayed by three different accidents and twice someone nearly got me."
It's true, sadly. The last several years, I've noticed a very different atmosphere out on the road. I don't enjoy driving like I used to. It's no longer a chance for time to myself while listening to the radio -- something I rarely do otherwise. Nor is driving just a way to get the daily chores and commitments done.
