When Jupiter is in Taurus, people promote their philosophical and ethical positions with generosity, grace, and patience. They also act on these matters with persistence and devotion. They place conscious "value" on their "rules for living" ... and emphasize things like "long-term value," practicality, helpfulness, and harmony in offering to share their beliefs and knowledge with others.
They certainly feel the worth of these qualities themselves. The desire to teach and publicize both the personal and academic experience one has gained about life is put forward with compassion and charm . . . offered very much as a "personal gift to be treasured." The tone is gentle, even affectionate, and may contain a definite nod to the "aesthetics" of presentation.
There is also a sense of expansion and ambition that is composed, well-ordered, future-oriented, and pragmatic. This is an energy that wants to invest money and energy in planned, conservative ways . . . so as to realize sufficient dividends over time. The emphasis on money and comfort achieved in these "rewards" may be especially pronounced.
It has a known preference for making plans and "sticking to them" . . . and can be bewilderingly, infuriatingly reluctant to change an established course - until absolutely compelled to do so. But this strategy can often succeed in reaching goals through sheer persistence.
Under stress, expansive efforts, as well as philosophical and ethical posturing, become stubborn, crude, demanding, self-indulgent, jealous, possessive, greedy, lazy, and inflexible.
