TAURUS, VENUS -- THE HIEROPHANT, THE EMPRESS

The Hierophant (sometimes called The High Priest or The Pope) is card number 5 in the Major Arcana. Its correspondence to Taurus energy is obvious when you consider that this card represents social convention, conforming to group rules and traditions, and maintaining the status quo. Like the energy of Taurus, this is not a card -- or concept -- that deals well with upsets, surprises, change, departures from the norm ... or anybody rocking the boat.
