There are attempts to soften the connection between The Devil / Capricorn energy and the inflammatory evocation of human and spiritual evil. (No pun intended.) The Witches' Tarot depicts The Devil as the Horned One ... a human figure with antlers playing a pan flute for two humans who may be anything from enthralled, to delighted, to curious, to amazed, to terrified. That symbolism of the card is left vague and suggestive. The Devil himself wears a rather Mona Lisa-esque smile which prompts questions of: Is it delight? Or is it sadistic, cunning, and evil?
