What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Recovery
It may be time to heal and "find meaning" in something you've experienced recently that involves loss and disappointment, betrayal, ruin, and profound despair -- probably on a matter you struggled hard to achieve or where you were quite personally invested. This card implies exhaustion as well as injury ... and suggests you may have been through substantial stress in this part of your life. You may have had to "call it quits" on something you had high hopes for once-upon-a-time. Doing so may have been nothing short of traumatic.
At its worst, this card suggests you may have been badly mistreated, led on, lied to, crushed, or exploited by someone you trusted. Its ugliest energy suggests you've been "stabbed in the back." But there may simply have been serious adjustments in lifestyle ... or objective. You may have had to reluctantly accept "new information and viewpoints" about something you seriously misunderstood.
The reversal of this card may indicate this situation is in the process of healing ... or that most of the injury is "on the inside" rather than raw and oozing out in public. But even if it's not as galling as it used to be, even if you've had some time to get over what happened -- chances are it still hurts a lot.
However, it's now time to learn to trust life again ... and move on, in the aftermath of crushing defeat, sorrow, and despair. It may take a while yet for you to recover from this, personally, intellectually, financially ... and emotionally. Revelations such as this one suggests aren't easy to absorb. And you need to still be gentle with yourself -- and cautious. You're not as strong yet as you were once ... and you'd do well to remember that for a while.
Today's affirmation:
I know how to take one day at a time ... and stabilize myself before trying to take another step in any direction.

Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Feeling unloved and unappreciated
Life may hold an experience of disappointment and rejection for you soon. Someone you care about ... or one of your important relationships ... may not come through for you in the way you want and expect. It may be time to go inward in the next few days, and realign yourself with the wellsprings of self-love and self-appreciation that are your richest, most valuable source of support.
An additional thought to ponder:
It is, of course, the stuff of high drama and corny country songs, but being mistreated and rejected by someone you love is truly one of life's saddest, ugliest moments. One of the most important connections you need to make ... and keep intact ... is the one between who you feel you are and how you are able to love yourself.

Regrets are idle; yet history is one long regret.
Everything might have turned out so differently.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.

Misusing power
You may soon see how you are wasting some important opportunities, misusing valuable potential, or failing to capitalize on advantages that could be yours with the right kind of effort. Such a moment of recognition is the first step toward making the changes that will put the situation on track again. Be sure to use it that way.
An additional piece of advice:
Power is a precious commodity ... and applying it properly is an essential lesson of life. Being weak-willed, vacillating and spineless is a recipe for disaster. But so too is being abusive, dictatorial, and merciless. The more power you have, the more crucial it is that you use it wisely.

When once a man has made celebrity necessary to his happiness, he has put it in the power of the weakest and most timorous malignity, if not to take away his satisfaction, at least to withhold it. His enemies may indulge their pride by airy negligence and gratify their malice by quiet neutrality.
