What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Deep inner change ... or resisting the need for change
Over the next few days, you may see how you are resisting necessary changes in your situation, ways you are holding on to outworn ideas and structures, and ways you are failing to make much needed changes in yourself. Such enlightenment may be extremely welcome, letting you consciously take charge of new directions and make improvements that "eliminate the deadwood" in both you and your world.
You may also be about to see results from a change that is already "in the pipeline" that hasn't become nearly as obvious as it will be in time. This involves a major improvement in your lifestyle and way of "taking on the world" -- and is directly tied to a change in you, your attitudes, your ideas, and your inner values.
This card is an indication of major developments on the way that haven't made it out "in public" yet. But when they do, the benefits (as well as the transformations) will be impressive.
An extra piece of advice:
Changes can be terribly disruptive ... even when the change is for the better. You will ultimately see that what it taking place now is more welcome than the alternative, but even more intriguing is the fact that the whole experience is part of a greater process of change, cause, and effect also taking place in you.

A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

What's in the Cards?
For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Misusing resources
You may soon have an experience where you feel cheated. Or where the temptation to cheat someone else is mighty strong.
If it's the former, consider what action you need to take ... and then consider why you were handed this life lesson to process. How might you be "cheating yourself?" If it's the latter, consider how it would feel to have the situation reversed -- and what agenda you may have that prompts such temptations in the first place. How do you invite opportunities where you "feel cheated" by others? Why do you think taking advantage of someone else is a way to get ahead?
An additional thought to ponder:
This card indicates "miserliness" in a relationship -- a substantial lack of generosity and good will between yourself and someone else. The question then becomes why does this relationship exist at all? And why do you keep it going?

Great artists treasure their time with a bitter and snarling miserliness.

What's in the Cards?
For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Sorrow
The energy of this card in this position combines emotional pain and profound disappointment with financial matters, possessions, or money. Its most obvious prediction suggests someone you trusted or cared for (perhaps even loved!) has harmed you over possessions, money, investments, or the handling of financial matters where you have an interest.
Another possibility with this combination is that anxiety, worry, bitterness, grief, or other strong emotions about money and finances are causing you physical and emotional harm ... perhaps even memories from the past that bring up unhealed wounds are causing you more injury in stress symptoms and psychological pain than you want to admit.
A fairly mild possibility with this card is disappointment with an investment, possession, purchase, or financial experience ... and thus the need to reorient yourself in the face of this loss. Rarely, though, does this card appear to describe the little bubbles and potholes of ordinary life. What you have to cope with in the next few days may have more to it than meets the eye.
An additional thought to ponder:
Being harmed materially by someone we have trusted or cared for brings a double injury that makes it harder to accept. You not only have to cope with the harm to your financial interests or possessions, you have to acknowledge and heal the emotional injury to your spirit. And usually recovery from the first is the easier of the two. By a long shot.

I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all;
but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess.
