What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Recovery
It may be time to heal and "find meaning" in something you've experienced recently that involves loss and disappointment, betrayal, ruin, and profound despair -- probably on a matter you struggled hard to achieve or where you were quite personally invested. This card implies exhaustion as well as injury ... and suggests you may have been through substantial stress in this part of your life. You may have had to "call it quits" on something you had high hopes for once-upon-a-time. Doing so may have been nothing short of traumatic.
At its worst, this card suggests you may have been badly mistreated, led on, lied to, crushed, or exploited by someone you trusted. Its ugliest energy suggests you've been "stabbed in the back." But there may simply have been serious adjustments in lifestyle ... or objective. You may have had to reluctantly accept "new information and viewpoints" about something you seriously misunderstood.
The reversal of this card may indicate this situation is in the process of healing ... or that most of the injury is "on the inside" rather than raw and oozing out in public. But even if it's not as galling as it used to be, even if you've had some time to get over what happened -- chances are it still hurts a lot.
However, it's now time to learn to trust life again ... and move on, in the aftermath of crushing defeat, sorrow, and despair. It may take a while yet for you to recover from this, personally, intellectually, financially ... and emotionally. Revelations such as this one suggests aren't easy to absorb. And you need to still be gentle with yourself -- and cautious. You're not as strong yet as you were once ... and you'd do well to remember that for a while.
Today's affirmation:
I know how to take one day at a time ... and stabilize myself before trying to take another step in any direction.

Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

Wasting resources
On the surface, this card predicts an encounter with someone who is financially manipulative, dishonest, shady, "out to feather his own nest," and possibly lining himself up for health problems because of this imbalance in his life
Beneath the surface, this card asks that you reconsider your own behavior and values with regard to managing money, meeting your responsibilities, wisely investing your time, energy, and physical assets, and taking care of your health and your loved ones. You may find some adjustments are needed that you've either overlooked or have been deliberately putting off for a while. It's time to stop procrastinating.
An additional thought to ponder:
Physical and financial assets are also responsibilities. When you consider your commitments and obligations, see how many of them have connections to money and health issues ... your own and those of your dependents. Consider, too, what you are harming if you fail to care for these wisely.

I would I could stand on a busy corner, hat in hand,
and beg people to throw me all their wasted hours.

What's in the Cards?
For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Dealing with attitudes that are petty, narrow-minded, and manipulative
You may encounter a very insincere, deceitful, gossipy, two-faced, or embittered person -- or a situation where these qualities are clearly on display, in some matter involving money, property, possessions, financial arrangements, investments, or income. Sometimes this energy comes disguised as someone who smiles to your face ... and then stabs you in the back. If your intuition tells you someone is not to be trusted, pay attention to it!!
It's also possible you may soon have to deal with someone who is jealous, impatient, rigid, insensitive, and controlling. When it happens ... watch how easy it is for this person to provoke these same attitudes and behaviors in you.
In a less positive scenario, this card warns that these attitudes in you may be causing you financial problems -- possibly without your realizing it -- and certainly causing you unnecessary stress and fatigue.
An extra piece of advice:
If someone is treating you unfairly ... being hateful, overly critical, too demanding, and giving you no respect or credit for who you are or what you do, you have no obligation at all to put up with it. Tolerating abuse is a form of mistreating yourself.

Anger is a symptom, a way of cloaking and expressing feelings too awful
to experience directly -- hurt, bitterness, grief and, most of all, fear.
