What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Incompletion
Life may show you evidence soon that a major effort, an important personal project, a significant life lesson, or some essential chapter of experience that you thought was permanent, finished, or well within reach ... isn't.
There is still more work to do here before you can declare victory, or "an end" to the matters you've been working on recently, issues that bear on your definition of success, your ability to consider yourself satisfied and happy with work you've performed, your claim to expertise on a matter of personal consequence, or your grasp of wisdom and learning you've been working to claim.
An additional thought to ponder:
When a lesson is incomplete ... or work still remains on an important area of life, life has a way of remembering. It brings those themes, situations, and experiences back around again, and shoves them in our faces ... a little more forcefully with each new round.

History is an endless repetition of the wrong way of living.

Recovery
It may be time to heal and "find meaning" in something you're experienced recently that involves loss and disappointment. This card implies exhaustion as well as injury ... and suggests you may have been through substantial stress in this part of your life. You may have had to "call it quits" on something you had high hopes for once-upon-a-time. Doing so may have been nothing short of traumatic.
At its worst, this card suggests you may have been badly mistreated, led on, lied to, crushed, or exploited by someone you trusted. It's ugliest energy suggests you've been "stabbed in the back." But there may simply have been serious adjustments, and perhaps "new information and viewpoints" about something you seriously misunderstood.
The reversal may indicate this situation is in the process of healing ... or that most of the injury is "on the inside" rather than raw and oozing out in public. But even if it's not as galling as it used to be, even if you've had some time to get over what happened -- chances are it still hurts a lot.
However, it's now time to learn to trust life again ... and move on, in the aftermath of crushing defeat, sorrow, and despair. It may take a while yet for you to recover from this, personally, intellectually, financially ... and emotionally. Revelations such as this one suggests aren't easy to absorb. And you need to still be gentle with yourself -- and cautious. You're not as strong yet as you were once ... and you'd do well to remember that for a while.
Today's affirmation:
I know how to take one day at a time ... and stabilize myself before trying to take another step in any direction.

Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

Sudden changes
Sudden changes may be on their way in your financial life soon. Something you considered "permanent" may prove to be anything but. This is an energy of releasing -- sometimes explosively -- old ways of life, old habits and patterns, old ideas and expectations ... usually in ways that just don't allow for "business as usual" to re-establish itself again soon -- if ever.
While there is no denying the events this card forecasts can be extremely disruptive, when the dust settles the eventual judgment is that the change that occurred is for the better. It can take a while for all the ripples to die down, though ... so be prepared for adjustments in the meantime.
An extra piece of advice:
The energy of this card is well known for its dramatic "wake-up calls" ... ushering in unexpected developments "from out of left field." Do keep in mind that the change almost always turns out to be very beneficial ... even if it doesn't look or feel that way in the beginning. This is energy that cannot be effectively resisted. Often you don't have time to do anything except respond.

That is the biggest fool thing we have ever done....
The atomic bomb will never go off, and I speak as an expert in explosives.
