What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Excessive dependence
You may soon face a situation where jealousy, resentment, accusations, tantrums, "hurt feelings," and other evidence of emotional neglect are on display ... possibly tied to someone who needs more "proof" that she is "loved." Someone may feel dismissed, undervalued, taken for granted ... and not compensated nearly enough for the value he or she provides. It's also possible these feelings and responses describe you.
Alternatively, you may soon face a situation where someone feels frustrated, insecure, fearful, helpless, and victimized over work that is undervalued, gestures of affection that are not appreciated or returned, emotional needs that are not being met, and a general atmosphere of staleness and disregard.
You could also be that person. It's also possible all these feelings will emerge in one complex and painful scene ... which needs remedy and attention right away.
An additional thought to ponder:
It is entirely possible to see to all the physical requirements of those in your relationships ... and overlook the need for emotional support -- both for yourself and and for your loved ones. Keeping all the balls in the air can be a hard juggling act ... but the complexity of human life is such that you have to keep doing your best. Always.

As they die, the ones we love, we lose our witnesses, our watchers, those who know and understand the tiny little meaningless patterns, those words drawn in water with a stick. And there is nothing left but the endless flow.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Depleting your physical assets
Fearsome as this card sounds ... its energy is about releasing wealth. Yes, it can be about financial catastrophe, indebtedness, and bankruptcy (and sometimes it describes exactly that.) But fundamentally it's about letting go of money ... or income sources ... so that you no longer have those, nor are you relying on them.
Coupled here with your relationships, it suggests giving up control over some of your joint assets, discarding or ridding yourself of possessions you may own with other people, and restructuring your partnership finances in ways that can amount to "starting over" in many ways.
Although it can indicate a major financial loss, or money you were counting on that fails to arrive, or a financial arrangement or partnership that "doesn't come through" for you as intended, it could also indicate the decision to make a substantial purchase or investment that temporarily lowers your bank balance, but lets you build the foundations for a new enterprise whose eventual outcome is still uncertain.
It can also be a serious warning that you need to take better care of your health ... because you are running on empty and need to ease up and replenish your strength. That goes for your partner ... and possibly your relationship itself, too.
Today's affirmation:
Reaching "the end of the road" on a financial effort, whether by choice or by circumstances, takes many forms. Along with the ending comes the chance for new starts.

Apparent failure may hold in its rough shell the germs of a success that will blossom in time, and bear fruit throughout eternity.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Sudden changes
Sudden changes may be on their way in your financial life soon. Something you considered "permanent" may prove to be anything but. This is an energy of releasing -- sometimes explosively -- old ways of life, old habits and patterns, old ideas and expectations ... usually in ways that just don't allow for "business as usual" to re-establish itself again soon -- if ever.
While there is no denying the events this card forecasts can be extremely disruptive, when the dust settles the eventual judgment is that the change that occurred is for the better. It can take a while for all the ripples to die down, though ... so be prepared for adjustments in the meantime.
An extra piece of advice:
The energy of this card is well known for its dramatic "wake-up calls" ... ushering in unexpected developments "from out of left field." Do keep in mind that the change almost always turns out to be very beneficial ... even if it doesn't look or feel that way in the beginning. This is energy that cannot be effectively resisted. Often you don't have time to do anything except respond.

That is the biggest fool thing we have ever done....
The atomic bomb will never go off, and I speak as an expert in explosives.
