What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Recovery
It may be time to heal and "find meaning" in something you've experienced recently that involves loss and disappointment, betrayal, ruin, and profound despair -- probably on a matter you struggled hard to achieve or where you were quite personally invested. This card implies exhaustion as well as injury ... and suggests you may have been through substantial stress in this part of your life. You may have had to "call it quits" on something you had high hopes for once-upon-a-time. Doing so may have been nothing short of traumatic.
At its worst, this card suggests you may have been badly mistreated, led on, lied to, crushed, or exploited by someone you trusted. Its ugliest energy suggests you've been "stabbed in the back." But there may simply have been serious adjustments in lifestyle ... or objective. You may have had to reluctantly accept "new information and viewpoints" about something you seriously misunderstood.
The reversal of this card may indicate this situation is in the process of healing ... or that most of the injury is "on the inside" rather than raw and oozing out in public. But even if it's not as galling as it used to be, even if you've had some time to get over what happened -- chances are it still hurts a lot.
However, it's now time to learn to trust life again ... and move on, in the aftermath of crushing defeat, sorrow, and despair. It may take a while yet for you to recover from this, personally, intellectually, financially ... and emotionally. Revelations such as this one suggests aren't easy to absorb. And you need to still be gentle with yourself -- and cautious. You're not as strong yet as you were once ... and you'd do well to remember that for a while.
Today's affirmation:
I know how to take one day at a time ... and stabilize myself before trying to take another step in any direction.

Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

What's in the Cards?
For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Creating a balanced situation
You may soon face some choices in an important relationship, where the differences between you are very much at issue. The trick then, of course, will be to find ways to capitalize on your separate strengths in order to make the most of your association.
Viewed properly, you can see this as an opportunity to make more of the association, or a chance to experience the diversity, perspective, and dimensions of your partner. Someone with "differences" offers us more than we can experience just being with ourselves. But, granted, that can sometimes be a mixed blessing. With differences come both more strengths, and more potential problems.
An extra piece of advice:
Soul mates may exist in myth and literature, where they make for wonderful drama, but relationships in the real world will almost certainly have to be forged between two fallible, flawed, flesh-and-blood people. The more you can work positively with that fact, the better your relationships will fare for the effort.

It is futile to linger endlessly over differences;
the fruitful research is to look for points of contact.

The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of

Failing to create real results
This card, in its broadest meaning, indicates the failure to bring something into material reality. This could be the failure to launch something you've been working on, failure to get paid for work you've done, or the failure to achieve any results whatsoever. It usually means you are not applying your efforts properly, not channeling your energy well, or not taking care of yourself the way you must. Expect that you will soon confront this situation explicitly ... and then have to change your tactics to something more productive.
An extra piece of advice:
If you don't answer the door when Opportunity knocks, Opportunity will eventually go somewhere else.

Any activity becomes creative when the doer cares about doing it right, or doing it better.
