Something that comes to your attention -- or dredges up the past -- will help you find the "meaning" and absorb the lesson you need to take away from this sad experience. It may not be pleasant to confront this again ... just as it wasn't at all pleasant to live through it the first time. But in such moments of mending you build strength, and the hurt fades even further.

Patience and moderation

There may be a lot going on in your relationships now ... involving both action and emotions. Your challenge is to keep everything "on an even keel" and detach yourself as much as possible so that you can observe "the big picture" of events. Although you may have a lot to handle, you also need to maintain your position as director and guide so that matters progress as smoothly as they can for the next few days ... and certainly as smoothly as you would like them to.

All the things implied by the word "temperance" are important now: patience, serenity, self-control, restraint, moderation, even-handedness. When the pressure is really on, those things come under serious stress ... at a time when they may be needed most. Keep your wits about you!

You may soon confront in no uncertain terms a set of circumstances involving money, income, property, possessions, your access to and use of physical resources, or your financial investments where you feel caught, imprisoned, trapped, hemmed in, and pinned down ... with no good way out of the mess.

When this happens ... look around you. If you see people who do not have this problem as a major feature in their lives, it's because they have made different choices. The chances are very, very good ... you can do that, too!!

This card suggests you may have been dealing with this problem long enough for the stress it causes to be affecting your health, physically and emotionally. Continuing to live with the problem is not a good option. Start actively implementing ways to change it, even if those might cause you more temporary aggravation and problems in the short-run.
