What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Recovering from grief
In the next few days, you may find yourself dealing with loss, disappointment, grief, and sadness -- but in a positive, healing way. Almost certainly the issue you are processing is "old news," and the information you will receive is evidence that you are healing, stronger, and better able to manage your life now, less impeded by past injuries than has been the case for a while.
You may also go through a period of reassessment, examination, and reverie regarding a time of injury and loss, and in doing so discover the strengths you gained and the important things you learned from the experience. It may not yet be enough to convince you the original experience was "worth it" ... and, in fact, that may never happen. But this is one way you can find "meaning" in something dreadful. And knowing there was meaning to something does make it more bearable. What you are really seeking is more comfort ... and by looking for that, you're liable to find it.
An extra piece of advice:
If you are recovering from a time of grief, loss, or deep hurt and disappointment, you can expect to have good days and bad days during the period of actual transition. Don't beat yourself up over either one -- not the times of renewed hurt (and apparent regression) back into sadness and despair, and not the enjoyment of good times and renewed satisfaction -- when later guilt can tug at you mighty hard.
Realize that any major trauma will change you. You will be different for the experience. Sometimes, you will be so different that clearly the person you were before the event didn't survive what happened. Not all deaths leave a body to bury in the physical sense.

A lively understandable spirit
Once entertained you.
It will come again.
Be still.
Wait.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Being realistic
Practical concerns have your attention today. You are interested in results on a physical, material, or financial level. Moonlight and roses may be the stuff of romantic poetry, but taking care of life's daily business is the life's blood of everything, from work, to personal development, to managing relationships -- which do, in deed, require considerable care and feeding.
It's a day for being grounded, firm, even hard-headed about what you want ... and what you are willing to do to create this. Being as clear as possible on your priorities and commitments will be a big help ... and knowing for sure which values you are trying to satisfy with your efforts, what your final objective is. Consult with your partners. Be sure you're both pulling in the same direction.
Persistence and tenacity may be the keys to getting the day's work done ... in a fairly unexciting "nose to the grindstone" fashion. But holding that attitude will insure you'll succeed at what's important to you today.
An additional thought to ponder:
Having the determination to "do what it takes" to reach a goal sometimes accomplishes more than half the job ... all by itself.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Examining inner values
You may need to examine your conduct in a situation that involves your financial arrangements, sources of income, spending habits, investment strategies, money management, professional directions, or overall lifestyle and health practices. Something of consequence there wants adjustment.
You may need to confront circumstances that are too one-sided, too impractical, too "parasitical," where people may be taking gross financial advantage of others -- possibly you (!!) as either victim or perpetrator, where someone is taking too much for granted in the ways others must work to provide for him and his comforts, and who is unacceptably wasteful of time, energy, and other resources.
Chances are you know who this person is ... or the issues this energy describes, but it also wouldn't hurt to consider your own conduct and see if possibly you are inviting this experience into your life, either though your own relaxed and overly tolerant attitudes -- or by doing this to someone else, yourself.
An additional thought for the day:
You might also consider whether you are doing too much for someone who should be taking better care of himself ... or possibly whether you need more compensation for the value you provide.

No values are effective, in a person or a society, except as there exists in the person the prior capacity to do the valuing, that is, the capacity actively to choose and affirm the values by which he lives.
