Unconditional Love
Today is a day to count your blessings. Consider this an object lesson in contentment. Look around you at all the things you have to be grateful for and make today your personal time of "thanksgiving." The appearance of this card forecasts the fruitful realization of creative projects, a new level of personal fulfillment and prosperity, and the arrival of earned recognition and rewards.
This is a day to be good to yourself ... because after all, unconditional love and its fruits must begin at home. In giving to yourself on all levels, you become better able to give to others. Take time to appreciate the material benefits you have, the sources of income that support you, the loving relationships that enrich your life, and your ability to use those things for the pleasure and protection of your loved ones as well.
Today's affirmation:
In giving unconditional love to myself, I nourish my ability to give this also to others.

If a thing loves, it is infinite.

Finding meaning
The next several days may help you put to rest feelings and memories left over from an abusive, offensive experience in your past, almost certainly involving a relationship with someone you cared for deeply. This episode of further recovery may be something whose need you readily recognize, or it may surprise you to find yet another increment of pain and healing in an old memory you thought you'd laid to rest already.
Something that comes to your attention -- or dredges up the past -- will help you find the "meaning" and absorb the lesson you need to take away from this sad experience. It may not be pleasant to confront this again ... just as it wasn't at all pleasant to live through it the first time. But in such moments of mending you build strength, and the hurt fades even further.
An additional thought to ponder:
Sometimes the way we define a problem ... especially when we don't have all the facts ... does more harm than good, and delays our finding a solution. It may even hinder our looking for one.

A mistake in judgment isn't fatal, but too much anxiety about judgment is.

Final endings
This is a tough card. There's no two ways around it. It generally means you've come to the end of a significant illusion and are having to adjust your thinking in a mighty big way to cope with circumstances or information that is painful, harsh, heart-breaking, or disastrous. It suggests you may be handling a significant disappointment ... either fresh in present time or in repercussions from an incident in the past.
This can be especially tough where money and possessions are concerned ... because of the strong symbolic connections these things have to both our survival issues and our abstract values. Changes here ... or even instability ... can be extremely uncomfortable and scary.
Often the hardest part of any major crisis is accepting what happened. And it may be that something in the next few days triggers memories or questions from a past incident that need to be reviewed further ... and put to rest either more fully, again, or once and for all. Or it can bring the undeniable realization that something you've believed in, counted on, and maybe worked hard for ... for a long time ... has handed you back nothing but disappointment for your efforts.
As I said, this realization can be extraordinarily bitter ... and hearing that ultimately this is the first stage of important new beginnings may not hold much weight on balance -- for the time being.
An additional thought to ponder:
Just as every ending signals the arrival of new beginnings, new beginnings require endings in order to commence. This is simply the way life works, in an infinitely circular and wondrous fashion.

I cannot say whether things will get better if we change;
what I can say is that they must change if they are to get better.
