Expect to get a wake-up call in the next few days ... demonstrating how you are drifting, wasting time, being irresponsible, not using your talents, feeling sorry for yourself, being pessimistic, lazy, and generally indulging your Inner Victim. That realization, of course, is the first step toward standing up, adjusting your attitude, and putting yourself back in charge of you inner creative life and your emotional well-being again.

You may encounter this energy "by example," too ... through an encounter with someone else who acts this out for your benefit ... and education. If you find yourself dealing with someone living in a world of his own, running away from reality through counter-productive strategies, complaining that nobody loves him and that he never gets a break ... and using these excuses to continue mucking his way through life -- you've got a cautionary tale unfolding right before your eyes. Be sure you're not buying into some of the same futile tactics, and be doubly sure you're not playing the part of the "patsy" ... helping somebody else stay on this pointless merry-go-round with endless offers of "help," money, understanding, advice, and sympathy.

Coming out of poverty

Ordinarily, this card indicates recovery from a time of financial lack. But poverty comes in many guises ... and this energy covers territory beyond the pocket and bank account. Fundamentally, it predicts a "new take" on your material, physical, and economic situation. Often this comes hand in hand with a refreshing improvement in your personal values. Applying it to your relationships and personal associations, it forecasts the ending of a period of "emotional starvation" ... or feeling shunted aside and deprived of attention.

Expect a time when physical stress is lessened, when you can get more rest, when you won't put such demands on your physical body, and thus your lifestyle is healthier. As the level of worry recedes, you are better able to judge that perhaps literally killing yourself in order to have enough dollars in hand ... isn't worth the cost, especially to your loved ones and the relationships you cherish.

From there it's not such a big step to realizing that "money isn't everything" ... cliché though that may be ... and that personal, spiritual, and intellectual connections can be far more rewarding -- and many don't cost a dime.

This is a good day to just follow the rules and do as you're told. This is no time to stick out like a sore thumb or draw attention to yourself. Brownie points today come more easily if you do what's expected, don't make any waves, and don't create any surprises.

Save the experiments, the radical bright ideas, and, above all, the zany practical jokes for another time and place. These will not win you many friends ... not gain you much appreciation ... now. Don't take any chances with money. Don't do anything "out of character." Don't get involved in deals that sound "too good to be true." If you make purchases in the next several days ... stick to the basics.
