What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Meanness, pettiness, jealousy
The need to over-control your world may strongly indicate a need to change the way you are treating yourself.
Remember: When you point the finger of blame or criticism at somebody else, there are always three fingers pointing back at you.
The way you use power is always a public measure of your character. If you use it to help, nourish, support, and encourage growth in the areas of life that are your responsibility, you do the world a favor that can live on long after you have ceased your stewardship. If on the other hand you use your power as a demonstration of how much you can harm those who challenge or offend you, the pain you cause may take a long time to heal. The repercussions to your Karma could last even longer.
An additional thought to ponder:
Cruelty towards others is always also cruelty towards ourselves.

If we could learn to like ourselves, even a little,
maybe our cruelties and angers might melt away.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Struggling with self-identity
To lose your sense of identity, your certainty of who you are and what you are about can be a frightening, disorienting crisis. This is particularly true when the confusion affects your role in an important relationship. It may play out wholly within yourself ... or between you and some antagonist or a difficult situation in the outside world, something (or someone) whose feedback causes you to question very fundamental things about yourself.
This can range from something as basic as questioning your competence -- thus causing problems with your no-longer-solid self-confidence -- to questioning your basic human worth and virtue leaving you paralyzed with indecision and a deep loss of personal courage. Both impede your ability to show who you really are and be true to your nature in your attitudes and responses.
Getting past this time and regaining solid ground can be a challenge ... and you may face such a moment before long.
Today's affirmation:
When given feedback about myself that severely contradicts my self-image, I have the patience and wisdom to step back, consider the information, and either make adjustments ... or "consider the source," whichever is appropriate.

Be yourself. The world worships the original.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Ego problems
In order to make the most of your financial assets and economic conditions, you may need to spend some time in self-examination and attitude adjustment ... possibly to the point of starting over to build a more positive self-image and sense of personal power. You're simply not reaping the rewards you might have available ... even the ones you may have earned ... because you lack the willingness and self-reliance to follow your ambitions through to a good conclusion. You may not have the vision to set decent, attainable financial goals for yourself in the first place.
You may be puttering around, handicapped by your own timidity and negative attitude. Such things interfere with initiative and motivation at a very early stage, leaving you mired in the belief that you don't have "what it takes" to really support yourself to the best of your ability. To correct this would do you a tremendous favor ... and certainly be worth the investment of time and self-analysis needed to repair this flawed vision of what you can do and what you deserve.
An extra piece of advice:
Another possibility when this card appears warns that you may have to deal with someone else whose bad self-image and negative attitude is harming you financially ... or harming him financially ... or, most likely, both. This person's lack of drive and belief in himself may be a hindrance that will respond to encouragement, instruction, and /or therapy.
Or you may be faced with someone who is helpless, lazy, uncooperative, and a chronic "victim." Such a thing takes sterner measures to correct ... but the first place to begin is in your own attitudes that have either magnetized him into your life ... or allow him to remain and muck around in his own self-pity and helplessness.

The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are.
