• Futility, helplessness, hopelessness, despair ... we all have moments like these. And then when you come to the end of that long and lonely road, you still have to solve the problems that put you on that path in the first place.

• Do you have a dream? A goal you want to achieve? A vision of a secret desire, maybe one you've nursed for years? When your fantasies bring it up again for your attention, do you end up somehow mentally ticking off all the reasons why you can't have it? Why you can't do it? Why it will never work out for you? Honestly now ... what good is that doing anybody? Especially you!!

Misunderstanding who you are

You may need to put some considerable time into re-evaluating yourself, examining your self-confidence levels, and just "adjusting your attitude" about who you are and what your role is in an important relationship you have. This card suggests you may need to put in a fair bit of work building a more positive self-image and sense of personal power.

It can also indicate you are dealing with someone else ... as a partner ... who has these problems and needs this kind of realignment and help. Of course, in order to help someone else improve at anything, you have to first have the skills, knowledge, experience, and wit to do the work better yourself. Hence the suggestion that you look to set your own house in order ... before turning your attention to someone who may need your help, too.

One of the great metaphysical and psychological truths that is still gaining acceptance in the greater world is the knowledge that problems we have with "other people" in our lives are the areas where we ourselves need more work. This change alone can offer you untold freedom from worries ... and release tremendous fears and anxiety about "not measuring up," not making the grade, not being able to command the status and power that go with substantial worldly wealth. Recognize that powers of the soul are so much more valuable and lasting ... and represent the kind of quality and character you can never buy with coins. In that thought ... is liberation.
