What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Struggling with self-identity
To lose your sense of identity, your certainty of who you are and what you are about can be a frightening, disorienting crisis. It may play out wholly within yourself ... or between you and some antagonist or difficult situation in the outside world, something (or someone) whose feedback causes you to question very fundamental things about yourself.
This can range from something as basic as questioning your competence -- causing problems with your no-longer-solid self-confidence to questioning your basic human worth and virtue leaving you paralyzed with indecision and a deep loss of personal courage. Both impede your ability to show who you really are ... and be true to your nature in your attitudes and responses.
Getting past this time and regaining solid ground can be a challenge ... and you may face such a moment before long.
Today's affirmation:
When given feedback about myself that severely contradicts my self-image, I have the patience and wisdom to step back, consider the information, and either make adjustments ... or "consider the source," whichever is appropriate.

Be yourself. The world worships the original.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Celebrate!!
Take today ... and count your blessings. Look around you. Look inside you. Look at the good things. Most of all, look at the people in your relationships and associations. What if you didn't have those things ... and those people?
Look at the things ... and the social connections ... you take for granted. Would you miss a lot of them if they actually did not exist?
Finally take a look at the things that are problems. If they vanished, would you be grateful for that? Look at these problems closely. Unless everyone else in the world has these exact same problems there must be a way to get rid of them. Or at least minimize them. Or at least cope with them more easily. See what you can do to accomplish that today ... so you'll have something new to celebrate tomorrow.
An additional thought to ponder:
Every day, life is full of miracles and wonders. They are everywhere. If you take time to notice them, you not only increase the quality and enjoyment of your life, you greatly increase the energy you use to magnetize these experience pleasures to you in the future.

Great joy, especially after a sudden change of circumstances, is apt to be silent,
and dwells rather in the heart than on the tongue.

Final endings
This is a tough card. There's no two ways around it. It generally means you've come to the end of a significant illusion and are having to adjust your thinking in a mighty big way to cope with circumstances or information that is painful, harsh, heart-breaking, or disastrous. It suggests you may be handling a significant disappointment ... either fresh in present time or in repercussions from an incident in the past.
This can be especially tough where money and possessions are concerned ... because of the strong symbolic connections these things have to both our survival issues and our abstract values. Changes here ... or even instability ... can be extremely uncomfortable and scary.
Often the hardest part of any major crisis is accepting what happened. And it may be that something in the next few days triggers memories or questions from a past incident that need to be reviewed further ... and put to rest either more fully, again, or once and for all. Or it can bring the undeniable realization that something you've believed in, counted on, and maybe worked hard for ... for a long time ... has handed you back nothing but disappointment for your efforts.
As I said, this realization can be extraordinarily bitter ... and hearing that ultimately this is the first stage of important new beginnings may not hold much weight on balance -- for the time being.
An additional thought to ponder:
Just as every ending signals the arrival of new beginnings, new beginnings require endings in order to commence. This is simply the way life works, in an infinitely circular and wondrous fashion.

I cannot say whether things will get better if we change;
what I can say is that they must change if they are to get better.
