What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Liberation
You've reached a point of being released from "imprisonment," breaking old habits and patterns that have caused serious grief and discomfort, thinking differently -- and taking action on these new ideas. This may directly concern issues that have plagued your ability to manage and enjoy life for quite a while ... but this welcome time of new beginnings will certainly impact your circumstances favorably.
Look forward now to freedom from restrictions, the acquisition of new strength and new levels of confidence. You are regaining your sense of power and self-respect regarding your ability to make choices and manage things to your satisfaction. Continue to face this new "way of seeing the world" openly and honestly. It is a treasure to cherish.
An extra piece of advice:
You may recently have made an important decision ... on a matter where you've been stalled for quite a while. Often this card indicates that you've made choices or taken action after a long period of vacillation and dithering. This alone indicates the choice may not have been an easy one ... but, given the new vitality and movement it can now bring to your life ... you can certainly consider it was worthwhile.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it.
Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it.
Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.

Today's Theme for Relationships
Heartache renewed
Expect to run into an "old familiar problem" in an important relationship soon. If you stop and think about it for a minute, you may already know what this is likely to be.
There's not much of a "good spin" to put on this one. Over the next few days you may have to handle deep disappointment, mistreatment, injustice, regret, hurt feelings, bitter memories, and even meanness and cruelty ... deliberately aimed your way. That fact can hurt as much as anything.
This card, in perhaps a more benign expression, can indicate pessimism, remorse, dissention, confusion, quarreling ... usually prompted by unhappy memories or something you've been through before. So while it isn't much fun this time through either, at least you've survived it in the past ... and know how to deal with it now. Either way, it's one of those moments to get past and be done with!!
An extra piece of advice:
Being hurt repeatedly in the same ways by the same person may not be such a painful surprise the second, third, tenth, eighteenth time it happens. But it can carry a lot of baggage in self-recrimination ... knowing you should have been more vigilant, more protective of yourself, less trusting. In the end, only you can make the changes that will change the situation.

True happiness must have the tinge of sorrow outlived, the sense of pain softened by the mellowing years, the chastening of loss that in the wondrous mystery of time transmutes our suffering into love and sympathy with others.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Coming out of poverty
Ordinarily, this card indicates recovery from a time of financial lack. But poverty comes in many guises ... and this energy covers territory beyond the pocket and bank account. Fundamentally, it predicts a "new take" on your material, physical, and economic situation. Often this comes hand in hand with a refreshing improvement in your personal values.
Expect a time when not only anxiety about money problems eases up, but when physical stress is lessened, when you can get more rest, when you won't put such demands on your physical body, and thus your lifestyle is healthier. As the level of worry recedes, you are better able to judge that perhaps literally killing yourself in order to have enough dollars in hand ... isn't worth the cost.
From there it's not such a big step to realizing that "money isn't everything" ... cliché though that may be ... and that personal, spiritual, and intellectual connections can be far more rewarding -- and many don't cost a dime.
Today's affirmation:
I am able to appreciate sufficiency in all things.

Our real blessings often appear to us in the shapes of pains, losses and disappointments;
but let us have patience, and we soon shall see them in their proper figures.
