What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Recovery
It may be time to heal and "find meaning" in something you've experienced recently that involves loss and disappointment, betrayal, ruin, and profound despair -- probably on a matter you struggled hard to achieve or where you were quite personally invested. This card implies exhaustion as well as injury ... and suggests you may have been through substantial stress in this part of your life. You may have had to "call it quits" on something you had high hopes for once-upon-a-time. Doing so may have been nothing short of traumatic.
At its worst, this card suggests you may have been badly mistreated, led on, lied to, crushed, or exploited by someone you trusted. Its ugliest energy suggests you've been "stabbed in the back." But there may simply have been serious adjustments in lifestyle ... or objective. You may have had to reluctantly accept "new information and viewpoints" about something you seriously misunderstood.
The reversal of this card may indicate this situation is in the process of healing ... or that most of the injury is "on the inside" rather than raw and oozing out in public. But even if it's not as galling as it used to be, even if you've had some time to get over what happened -- chances are it still hurts a lot.
However, it's now time to learn to trust life again ... and move on, in the aftermath of crushing defeat, sorrow, and despair. It may take a while yet for you to recover from this, personally, intellectually, financially ... and emotionally. Revelations such as this one suggests aren't easy to absorb. And you need to still be gentle with yourself -- and cautious. You're not as strong yet as you were once ... and you'd do well to remember that for a while.
Today's affirmation:
I know how to take one day at a time ... and stabilize myself before trying to take another step in any direction.

Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Closed-minded attitudes
In the next few days you may have to cope with someone whose attitude is critical, negative, and unfair. This may come in the form of an actual person who is sarcastic, opinionated, a trouble-maker and a know-it-all. You may also have to handle some incorrect or deliberately twisted information, or something blatantly self-serving to the interests of the person offering it.
This card can describe someone with a self-righteous, hateful, prejudiced, scheming attitude who shows up and spills his ugliness out for you to deal with. It can also indicate problems you have in your own attitude toward some important "general issue" in your life now.
You may have magnetized this atmosphere into your experience -- in an effort to get you to change your own mind about some basic ideas you hold which are hindering you -- perhaps severely -- at the moment.
You may need a whole fresh approach to the routine of your daily life, some new subjects to engage your interest, or just a major change of pace. Your "negative attitude" may be nothing more than the product of stress and fatigue ... but a more positive outlook on your life would be a benefit -- for sure.
An extra thought to ponder
When the only tool you have is a hammer ... you're liable to treat the rest of the world like a nail. The cure for this, of course, is to acquire different kinds of tools -- and see problems as having many different approaches and solutions.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who do survive.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Offering love and support in material ways
You may soon meet someone generous, secure, practical, thoughtful, charitable, and prosperous ... who is wealthy in more ways than just having enough money. If so, look carefully at this person. It may be a woman or a man ... but the aura of authentic security, care, compassion and willingness to offer help and support will be unmistakable. Feel this person's energy ... and use that as example for recreating this magic in your own life.
It is also possible that you will be called on to show these qualities in yourself to someone else, to demonstrate love by caring for someone physically ... providing food, shelter, health care, material assets, gifts of time and energy, etc.
This card in this position brings "Earth Mother" energy into your life, with all the joys and obligations that implies. You may, indeed, be given yet another experience of how love, physical nurturing, and protection are all commingled in the same package. Best of all when this happens, you see that you are the person who is wealthy in ways beyond "having enough money."
An additional thought to ponder:
Wealth that is not used, shared, or enjoyed ... might as well not exist.

I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of money.
