What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Anxiety
Any dissatisfaction you are feeling in your financial situation may come sharply into focus over the next several days. Fear of being able to "hold on to what you have" may play a prominent part in your mood and your choices.
Tightening your belt and being extremely conservative in your spending now is certainly one response to this concern, but in addition to saving more, getting more should also be on your agenda. Strategies which will accomplish that deserve at least as much attention as more economizing. It's also a better, more powerful way to live.
An additional thought to ponder:
Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between a healthy, conservative response and outright paranoia, especially where money is concerned. But also keep in mind the fact that chronic worry can create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I must say I hate money, but it's the lack of it I hate most.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Regaining your love of living
If relationships have caused you serious concern for a while, this card is the joyful assurance that better times are fast approaching. In the next few days, you should either find ways to greatly alleviate these worries or adjust your attitude and perspective so that the result is pretty much the same -- a sense of ease, relief, calm, and more confidence in your ability to cope.
This energy is about re-engaging with life again, rediscovering your feelings of joy, and finding meaning in the tasks and experiences that have your attention now. You may have missed that for a while, so the contrast may be obvious and welcome!
In applying this emotional renaissance to your partnerships and connections to other people, remember this: what you do to support your association should not exhaust your inner spiritual assets. Part of being in a relationship involves being able to take care of yourself ... and being strong enough in that to offer resources, strength, commitment, and "the best of yourself" to your partners.
You need something left over to nourish your own sense of joy, however ... and you need to take delight, comfort, and benefit yourself from the association. A relationship that does nothing except drag you down ... is a feature of life you can do without.
Today's affirmation:
I recognize the need to nourish my love of living ... and the loved ones in my life.

Kindness and intelligence don't always deliver us from the pitfalls and traps:
there are always failures of love, of will, of imagination.
There is no way to take the danger out of human relationships.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Examining inner values
You may need to examine your conduct in a situation that involves your financial arrangements, sources of income, spending habits, investment strategies, money management, professional directions, or overall lifestyle and health practices. Something of consequence there wants adjustment.
You may need to confront circumstances that are too one-sided, too impractical, too "parasitical," where people may be taking gross financial advantage of others -- possibly you (!!) as either victim or perpetrator, where someone is taking too much for granted in the ways others must work to provide for him and his comforts, and who is unacceptably wasteful of time, energy, and other resources.
Chances are you know who this person is ... or the issues this energy describes, but it also wouldn't hurt to consider your own conduct and see if possibly you are inviting this experience into your life, either though your own relaxed and overly tolerant attitudes -- or by doing this to someone else, yourself.
An additional thought for the day:
You might also consider whether you are doing too much for someone who should be taking better care of himself ... or possibly whether you need more compensation for the value you provide.

No values are effective, in a person or a society, except as there exists in the person the prior capacity to do the valuing, that is, the capacity actively to choose and affirm the values by which he lives.
