Struggling with self-identity

To lose your sense of identity, your certainty of who you are and what you are about can be a frightening, disorienting crisis. It may play out wholly within yourself ... or between you and some antagonist or difficult situation in the outside world, something (or someone) whose feedback causes you to question very fundamental things about yourself.

This can range from something as basic as questioning your competence -- causing problems with your no-longer-solid self-confidence to questioning your basic human worth and virtue leaving you paralyzed with indecision and a deep loss of personal courage. Both impede your ability to show who you really are ... and be true to your nature in your attitudes and responses.

Getting past this time and regaining solid ground can be a challenge ... and you may face such a moment before long.

In the next few days, you need to pay extra attention to your economic foundations, consolidate your gains, and hold on to what you have acquired. You may also take time to assess your resources, gauge your financial solvency, set realistic goals for yourself, and plan the next moves you need to reach some intended target.

Pay special attention to those assets and properties you hold in partnership with other people. Their abilities, skills, talents, and resources -- whether abstract or tangible -- still represent a form of wealth you can put to work or use for everyone's benefit. All concerned deserve a fair share of those things you have built together.

Examining inner values

You may need to examine your conduct in a situation that involves your financial arrangements, sources of income, spending habits, investment strategies, money management, professional directions, or overall lifestyle and health practices. Something of consequence there wants adjustment.

You may need to confront circumstances that are too one-sided, too impractical, too "parasitical," where people may be taking gross financial advantage of others -- possibly you (!!) as either victim or perpetrator, where someone is taking too much for granted in the ways others must work to provide for him and his comforts, and who is unacceptably wasteful of time, energy, and other resources.

Chances are you know who this person is ... or the issues this energy describes, but it also wouldn't hurt to consider your own conduct and see if possibly you are inviting this experience into your life, either though your own relaxed and overly tolerant attitudes -- or by doing this to someone else, yourself.

You might also consider whether you are doing too much for someone who should be taking better care of himself ... or possibly whether you need more compensation for the value you provide.
