What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Closure
It's time to render judgment on some phase, project, relationship, experience, or level of learning in your life ... and bring it to a close in preparation for moving on to something else soon. Indeed, the energy of "passing judgment," rendering a verdict, or finding the kernel of meaning and truth you were meant to acquire as a result of this time in your life that's ending ... is where you need to focus attention for a while.
Along with bringing matters to a close and distilling the value of your effort into something pithy and useful, you can look forward to a time of awakening, renewal, and renaissance. It's possible a change of consciousness can come from this -- for there is a long history of development and participation implied by the appearance of this card and its energy. You may have worked with the "theme" of this time in many different guises and circumstances. Now, you need to define your benefits ... and new wisdom .. and get ready welcome "the next step."
An additional thought to ponder:
Summing up can be a time of rest and hiatus, the figurative sigh of satisfaction that lets you release the old and draw in the new -- just as your controlled breathing does in meditation. Starting a new chapter in a book, a new set of courses in a schedule of study, a new level of responsibilities in your work, or moving on to a more intimate and exciting texture in a relationship can renew and reinvigorate your soul. Savor it all when it comes. This, too, is what life is about.

We dance round in a ring and suppose,
But the Secret sits in the middle and knows.

The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Not being in control
You may give some conscious thought over the next few days to the direction you are providing and the leadership role you exercise in your important personal relationships. Seeing where you need to improve and taking steps to do it is the kind of beneficial exercise that should be a regular part of any well-managed life.
Relationships don't just "happen." They do need care and maintenance in order to work well, and both partners are responsible for providing that, with wisdom and conscious attention.
You may soon see how you are wasting some important opportunities, misusing valuable potential, or failing to capitalize on advantages that could be yours with the right kind of effort. You could also recognize moments where you are being too one-sided and domineering, insisting too intensely on having everything your way.
Seeking your partner's perspectives and holding diplomatic talks might gain more for both of you. Such a moment of recognition is the first step toward making the changes that will put the situation on track again. Be sure to use it that way.
An extra piece of advice:
The leader who cannot or will not govern is tantamount to there being no leader at all. His impotence and ineptitude not only creates problems and foments rebellion among his followers ... but his occupying the seat of power prevents another leader from legitimately stepping in to fill the void.

The leadership instinct you were born with is the backbone.
You develop the funny bone and the wish bone that go with it.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Developing independent opinions
You may have reason in the near future to examine an opinion or belief, one that directly affects your economic condition, sources of income, spending habits, attitude toward possessions and resources, or financial investments ... and move to a more independent stance, discarding some of your agreements with those around you, staking out your own intellectual territory, and putting forth your own arguments, ideas, and viewpoints instead.
An additional thought to ponder:
Never miss a chance to exchange ideas with someone. A friend you've known forever, a total stranger, even a child has knowledge to share. And sometimes the best ideas come in the oddest disguises.

Women are more quiet. They don't feel called to mount a barrel and harangue by the hour every time they imagine they have produced an idea.
