What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Making progress
What is the most important thing you want to achieve? Today? This year? With your life? What are you going to do today to make progress on all three of these goals?
What is your greatest obstacle to progress? How do you get it out of the way?
What three things in your life waste the most time, drain your resources away from "the important stuff," or cost you energy and attention you'd rather not have to spend there? What can you do to get rid of these problems? Or at least minimize their impact on the real business of your life and your happiness?
An extra piece of advice:
From Marsha Sinetar: Gradual change is usually more fruitful in the long run than is forced, ultra-aggressive upheaval. Undertaken wisely, steady transitions cultivate authenticity, groundedness, and virtues -- like patience, compassion (for self and others), and perseverance. All these qualities improve your probability of success when, ultimately, you do figure out how to actualize your personal vision.

To make progress in any difficult situation, you have to start with what's right about it and build on that.

the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Prejudice and flawed perspectives
You may encounter someone who is a braggart, a trouble-maker, a bully, -- someone sly, cunning, dishonest, and downright mean. You certainly need to protect yourself if this happens. But getting into a fight with this person may only convince him (or her!) how valid his view of the world really is ... and remember, he's not apt to be logically argued out of ideas he wasn't argued into logically in the first place.
An extra piece of advice:
Stress, patience, tact, and clear thinking don't always come in the same bundle. It's easy to be snappish when you're overloaded and under pressure. You're apt to say something quick and hurtful without thinking ... or just to ease the pressure you feel. It's an understandable response, but that doesn't make it fair ... or right.

It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well.

Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Inadequate rewards
Today's theme ... and the experiences that await you just around the corner ... bear directly on the whole theory behind providing work in exchange for money so that you can then purchase the goods and services you need to support yourself. It suggests someone involved in the structures of your financial life is either being cheated by being paid inadequately for the work he or she does, or is cheating someone else by doing half-hearted and slipshod work while still charging a pretty hefty price for what he provides.
This could indicate you are working far too hard in return for a rather miserable paycheck. It suggests someone is failing to pay you what you are worth in a transaction that involves possessions, material goods, an exchange of services, etc. It further suggests you are being taken for granted, "used," or not fairly appreciated by someone for whom you provide excellent service.
It could also imply you'll discover someone has charged you "full price" for careless and shoddy work. You may learn you are very unhappy with a purchase you've made ... or find you've been ripped off. You may find yourself actively conned, swindled, or robbed.
In the worst scenario, of course, you are the one who is cheating someone else, skirting the rules, trying to "pull a fast one," and not paying someone what you rightfully owe him. So ... consider this a warning, to either keep your eyes and ears open (and, as the buyer, beware!), to insist on adequate payment for the work you produce, or to get your act together and pony up what you owe someone for what he has given you.
Whatever the scenario ... you might be wise to remember your Karma.
An additional thought to ponder:
There is no free lunch. If someone is cheating you ... you have a responsibility to help him "correct" the error. If you are cheating someone else ... remember, what goes around, comes around again. So watch out for that backswing.

Each man takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him.
But a day comes when he begins to care that he does not cheat his neighbor.
Then all goes well -- he has changed his market-cart into a chariot of the sun.
