For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Competence and compensation
Today's energy deals in prudence, wisdom, competence, and self-mastery. Experiences in the near future will bring you a time of harvesting, organizing, systematizing, or attending to details ... most probably in the practical, professional, financial, or "work-related" details in your life. This may involve simply a time of "taking care of life's business," but it also asks you to consider with pride the work you do, the service you provide, and the success you've achieved.
Emphasis now is on your being centered, clear-headed, integrated, and bringing order to your life where there may be untidiness or chaos. You may be taking stock of your situation, assets, skills, professional resources, education, possessions, and proficiency in taking care of yourself, your business and professional interests, your clients and customers, ... or simply "managing life in general."
You've done well at these things, especially given the challenges you've been handed along with the opportunities. It's time to pat yourself on the back and accept some self-congratulation.
An extra piece of advice:
This card often carries the flavor of "giving good work for good value," and being paid what you're worth for the work you do. That, too, may be part the day ahead ... and the tenor of the time to come.

Don't give up whatever you're trying to do - especially if you're convinced that you're botching it up. Giving up reinforces a sense of incompetence; going on gives you a commitment to success.

Today's Theme for Relationships
Spinning your wheels
The next few days may bring you back to "an old familiar place" in your relationships or important associations ... a place sadly distinguished by its lack of satisfaction, disappointing outcomes, and quite possibly the feeling that "you just can't win." Psychologists call this pattern a "game" ... because it is usually characterized by habits, moves, responses, and expectations that have failed before -- and don't have much chance of turning up different results no matter how often you go through the motions.
This setback may be especially cruel because it frequently comes after a time of rising hopes ... and the belief that you've learned the strategies and methods you need to get past this point -- and go on to another game.
Occasionally, this card indicates a time of deep disappointment in someone else -- possibly because a person turns out not to have the character and virtues you'd hoped for ... or because he (or she) breaks a promise or lets you down one more time ... when the truth is, you really knew they would.
Today's affirmation:
I recognize when I'm doing "the same old thing" and expecting different results -- and can appreciate that for the insanity it truly is. I also realize this is life's way of telling me to do something different ... really different ... next time.

Don't sleep too much. If you sleep 3 hours less each night for a year,
you will have an extra month and a half to succeed in.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Coming out of poverty
Ordinarily, this card indicates recovery from a time of financial lack. But poverty comes in many guises ... and this energy covers territory beyond the pocket and bank account. Fundamentally, it predicts a "new take" on your material, physical, and economic situation. Often this comes hand in hand with a refreshing improvement in your personal values.
Expect a time when not only anxiety about money problems eases up, but when physical stress is lessened, when you can get more rest, when you won't put such demands on your physical body, and thus your lifestyle is healthier. As the level of worry recedes, you are better able to judge that perhaps literally killing yourself in order to have enough dollars in hand ... isn't worth the cost.
From there it's not such a big step to realizing that "money isn't everything" ... cliché though that may be ... and that personal, spiritual, and intellectual connections can be far more rewarding -- and many don't cost a dime.
Today's affirmation:
I am able to appreciate sufficiency in all things.

Our real blessings often appear to us in the shapes of pains, losses and disappointments;
but let us have patience, and we soon shall see them in their proper figures.
