What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Chilling out
This is a day to let life mellow out as much as possible. Don't let little things get under your skin. Don't pick a fight and don't accept invitations to participate in one. Keep a low profile. Look for ways to negotiate, compromise, cooperate, and work through disagreements peacefully. This is a time of truce, integration, renewal, reflection ... and a time to let sleeping dogs lie ... at least for the moment. Above all, it's time to get some rest. You probably need it.
A thought for the day:
All lives can benefit from moments of quiet serenity ... whether you use the time for recuperation, meditation, creative planning, quality moments spent with loved ones, having fun -- or just taking a nap.

The longest journey of any person is the journey inward.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Not being in control
You may give some conscious thought over the next few days to the direction you are providing and the leadership role you exercise in your important personal relationships. Seeing where you need to improve and taking steps to do it is the kind of beneficial exercise that should be a regular part of any well-managed life.
Relationships don't just "happen." They do need care and maintenance in order to work well, and both partners are responsible for providing that, with wisdom and conscious attention.
You may soon see how you are wasting some important opportunities, misusing valuable potential, or failing to capitalize on advantages that could be yours with the right kind of effort. You could also recognize moments where you are being too one-sided and domineering, insisting too intensely on having everything your way.
Seeking your partner's perspectives and holding diplomatic talks might gain more for both of you. Such a moment of recognition is the first step toward making the changes that will put the situation on track again. Be sure to use it that way.
An extra piece of advice:
The leader who cannot or will not govern is tantamount to there being no leader at all. His impotence and ineptitude not only creates problems and foments rebellion among his followers ... but his occupying the seat of power prevents another leader from legitimately stepping in to fill the void.

The leadership instinct you were born with is the backbone.
You develop the funny bone and the wish bone that go with it.

Recovery
It may be time to heal and "find meaning" in something you're experienced recently that involves loss and disappointment regarding money, investments, possessions, purchases, property, financial management, income sources, or economic arrangements. This card implies exhaustion as well as injury ... and suggests you may have been through substantial stress in this part of your life. You may have had to "call it quits" on something you had high hopes for once-upon-a-time. Doing so may have been nothing short of traumatic.
At its worst, this card suggests you may have been badly mistreated, led on, lied to, crushed, or exploited by someone you trusted. It's ugliest energy suggests you've been "stabbed in the back." But there may simply have been serious adjustments in lifestyle ... or ambitions ... or career promise ... or professional directions. This combination blends "catastrophe" regarding money -- and "new information and viewpoints" about something you seriously misunderstood.
The reversal may indicate this situation is in the process of healing ... or that most of the injury is "on the inside" rather than raw and oozing out in public. But even if it's not as galling as it used to be, even if you've had some time to get over what happened -- chances are it still hurts a lot.
However, it's now time to learn to trust life again ... and move on, in the aftermath of crushing defeat, sorrow, and despair. It may take a while yet for you to recover from this, personally, intellectually, financially ... and emotionally. Revelations such as this one suggests aren't easy to absorb. And you need to still be gentle with yourself -- and cautious. You're not as strong yet as you were once ... and you'd do well to remember that for a while.
Today's affirmation:
I know how to take one day at a time ... and stabilize myself before trying to take another step in any direction.

Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
